Everyone tends to confuse freedom of speech with freedom from consequences. The definition of freedom of speech is to express yourself without censorship, which he was freely able to do without being censored, however there are consequences to all our actions, good or bad. The consequences being, he was fired.I mean...he said a bit more than that to be fair though.
But even then what he did say isn't something I'd say justified being fired, no clue what happened to freedom of speech. Sheesh
I dunno but apparently Papa John’s pays for your college if you work there.I’ll ask again…point me to the $32k/year jobs a college kid can work part time without incurring debt.
If you went to a $12k/year school as a boomer, I’m guessing you went private. And that’s your choice. But I’m talking about a public university education. UT was about $4K/year instate when I went in the 90s, so you obviously weren’t attending UT as a boomer.
I agree there are consequences to what we say, but what he said wasn’t that bad. Unless there is more that we aren’t hearing.Everyone tends to confuse freedom of speech with freedom from consequences. I won’t disagree with you on what he said wasn’t that bad but I can also understand why an employer wouldn’t want you spouting things like “I would rather shoot myself than watch women’s basketball” on open air.I agree there are consequences to what we say, but what he said wasn’t that bad. Not a good look at all for AK…
Explain? It never says that Kamara punched him, the report states the individual got jumped by a group of people. Also, it says the Kamara stopped the individual from entering the elevator by pushing the individual, and the individual aggressively pushed Kamara’s hand away.
I’m no genius but I would assume there is way more too this than what the individual gave to the detective and I would even go so far as words and I try probably said and the “victim” was probably way more aggressive than he described.
So he didn’t want company on the elevator, stopped the guy, guy slapped his hand away and one of AKs boys shoved him. And then guy doesn’t remember it. I don’t think AK would do that. But a drunk, over-protective body guard probably would.
Edit: nevermind read the rest of the report… AK said that he decked him a couple times smh knucklehead.

Just read the full report, I hate when people only post half a report. Either way, dude instigated a lot of it from what was in the report, still shouldn’t of been jumped. But do dumb things suffer the consequences….There is more to it. Kamara's side, which he gave, and stated that he punched the guy a couple of times while he thought he was running away. The report says the guy was not running away, according to video evidence.
I think we as a people have became too soft. Every little comment offends someone, every little dislike gets you punished. I try to guard my language so I don’t hurt any feelings, but some people are just looking for things to be offended over. I agree about having correct speech when it comes to working for someone else but it is a sad day when a person can’t be themselves. Like I said, it wasn’t that bad what he said.I won’t disagree with you on what he said wasn’t that bad but I can also understand why an employer wouldn’t want you spouting things like “I would rather shoot myself than watch women’s basketball” on open air.
Kamara's crew failed him by not keeping him in the elevator while they handled the problem they thought that they needed to handle.Just read the full report, I hate when people only post half a report. Pete Thamel on Finebaum talking this whole Auburn thing...boosters vs president and BoT vs the AD...
My god. And I thought we were bad.
If anything, this should be further proof why this crap doesn't work when there are a hundred cooks and only one kitchen. I only hope the people on The Hill have learned this lesson and moved on to a better power structure.
