That one is easy. Do we need monuments to Nathan Bedford Forest? Hmm prob not. Do we need to remove Gen Lee statues ? Hmm, prob not.

One had a real impact on history. The other, whether we can argue to contrary became synonomous with egregious crimes.

There are equal crimes out there. Native American atrocities. Are we angry about that? What about Rwanda? Women beaten with boots, where's the outrage?

It's wrong to make the antibellum era illegal to talk about like what Germany has done with the Hitler era. If you don't talk about it it's going to happen again

Very little about the Winter Olympics I care anything about and this year in particular I refuse to watch. For 1, it's in China. And 2, not to make it all political, but when a female athlete is born in this country and spent her entire life here, trained, supported and coached here, then renounces her citizenship and competes for China that does it for me.

And their rate of building is probably a multiple of that.

We're mostly "already built"...for civil engineers and such.

They literally build cities in a year for whatever reason. No doubt engineers are flooded there and in about 30 years when they hit true 1st world living and have built out to capacity, there will be a huge correction or a lot of retirees.

Basic growth stage.

Their people and food are great. Apparently a great place to travel to, so my ex said. She loved visiting Taiwan too where she still had family, but she taught English in China.

Their government...not so much.

Sounds familiar from a world perspective, of course.

They lucked through the schedule because opponents could not out athlete them. Some of those teams they beat have improved and might take them now. Had one of Arky's top players not been hurt early in the game, the LV's would have probably lost it as well. The opponents have improved while the LV's have not.
