I heard on a podcast that China produces more new engineers every year than the U.S. HAS practicing engineers.. that’s nuts
They literally have two industrial Cities. Rest of Country is third world. Coal has to be shipped in. China hasnt even begun to tap into its own resources.

Average American saves 20% of each paycheck. Average Chinese, over 50%.

Not only will they own us. If and when they decide they want to control the World economy, they will. Get used to it.

Well, in good news, I see we won a silver medal in women's snowboarding. Disappointing because it's the first time ever in the event where the U.S.A. didn't win the gold. <sigh>

Did you watch it? All the competitors are friends and they were cheering for the best run. It showed the Olympic spirit of competition. I thought it was awesome. The gold medal winner won the first ever gold in the Winter Olympics for New Zealand.
Gold New Zealand
Silver USA
Bronze Australia

Snowboarding is definitely not a European dominated sport.

New Zealand...now THAT is a cool place.

Any place that produces LoTR is cool by me.

In Tombstone, Is there anything more boss than when Wyatt is telling Johnny Tyler how it is in the beginning of the movie and Johnny says,

“Is that a fact?”

Wyatt is lighting up his cigar… “Mmm… that’s a fact.”

I'm partial to "you gonna draw or stand there and bleed?"

But both will do in a pinch.👍

My son was fortunate enough to tour a concentration camp at Austwithc(sp) many years ago, and to this day, when thinking about the experience of walking through one of the gas chambers still gives him chills to think about.
A friend of mine helps run the Holocaust museum in Indianapolis…. She toured around with the oldest living survivor (she passed a year or two ago) giving speeches…. It was pretty amazing listening to her speak.

It’s not sustainable, half of these kids suck and flame out anyways. No way they are worth 500k out of someone/ business’s pocket every single year after year. Most NFL players don’t have business deals like this.
Yeah...the market will adjust at some point

I know. I'm not offended. But I also don't want it to seem like I think I know more than you. I don't. I read stuff that other smart people write.

Cognitive decline absolutely wiped out my dad's side of the family, and my dad is dealing with it now. It's a subject that I care deeply about, so I've studied and enacted change to limit the effects of the ApoE4 genetic problem I was blessed with. I only pointed out the B12 thing because I know first hand how much better methylcobalamin is vs cobalamin. Of all of the supplements I've taken over the years, the single biggest impact I ever observed was the improvement in my mental clarity within two weeks of adding a good methyl B12 supplement. I wasn't expecting it, I just started it to lower homocysteine, but it was shocking.
What brand do you use?

So was I but it’s a bad outdated philosophy…..You should teach kids to plan on making the shot and the most important part is to finish the shot…. Teaching players to follow their shot is teaching them to plan on missing and it usually leads to poor mechanics….. Watch the best shooters in the NBA such as Steph a
Curry…. He stands there holding his follow through till it goes through the basket….. Another part I don’t like is teaching kids to box out right when a shot goes up…..
I held follow through to the count of two, then followed. Made some, missed some but if i missed i was around for and got some rebounds and put backs. I do see what you‘re saying but I guess that years of teaching makes it difficult to unlearn. I‘ll probably still yell “follow your shot!” 1644164884517.png

Some dont think its important, but the staff stability that we will have for the first time in over a decade will be important for our program right now. Glad we have been able to keep everyone for the most part.
Crazy to think about but the past 10 years there has always been some type of staff turnover every year from the Butch, Pruitt, and Dooley years. This is the first time I have ever seen it not happen so far. It’s early still but I think that speaks volumes to coaches wanting to work for Heupel.
