This picture was shared weeks ago and she is not SV girlfriend. She eats ,sleeps UT. Her name is Susan Boofer and she needs a lot of Prayers. Her family just found out that she has cancer and it has spread and she is at UT medical.

This saddens me to hear. Her dad is a photographer who loves the Vols. I will be praying.

Very little about the Winter Olympics I care anything about and this year in particular I refuse to watch. For 1, it's in China. And 2, not to make it all political, but when a female athlete is born in this country and spent her entire life here, trained, supported and coached here, then renounces her citizenship and competes for China that does it for me.
I just choose to support our athletes who have trained so hard to represent us.

The Farm is just what we longtimers call Bonnaroo.

MTV didn't buy it, though it's now not just Ashley Capps/AC entertainment and Superfly. It is true Live Nation has been buying in for years. They have taken on more sponsorships over time, though it's still far better than the worst festivals.

Regardless, The Farm vibes are still unbeatable, no matter how much the music and crowd changes. It's still a wild, almost anything goes town onto itself for 4 days and it's a thing of beauty.
idk why I always thought it was MTV who bought back in '06; but, I have always believed that until now...thanks for the correction. Live Nation owns all of now, dont they?

I do know that it changed, though, after '06...the lineups (started moving away from the jam scene, and heavily into hip hop, techno, dj driven, especially late night, which is cool; but, I'm more of a guitar rock band fan), the vibe, the crowds, the feel and hospitality, the security. I can remember that first year, people left jars and bowls out at their vending tables for people to put money in, if they purchased something, left signs saying they were going to see the boys, Phil and Friends, and to be generous...those jars and bowls were filled with cash. They were that trusting.

It was 2010, I went only to see LCD Soundsystem ...watched Jay Z absolutely kill that year, too. My last year was '11, back to back My Morning Jacket and Arcade Fire, which was mindblowing. My Morning Jacket is my favorite band on the planet, and Bonnaroo is where I fell in love with them back in '03, I think...their '08 show there is still, to this day, the best show I've ever seen. They own that festival, imo.

Didn't see Radiohead's return trip, '12 or '13, i believe. Always heard it couldn't hold a candle to the '06 show, idk; I just know that '06 show was legendary, for so many reasons.

But, yeah, it's always been one of my favorites, especially when i was at MTSU. I'm kind of hoping to go back someday...the Jacket would have to be there, of course.

People who take our freedom and endless opportunities for granted drive me insane. They have never experienced life outside of the US and do not know the oppression many people live in other countries. I hope they took her citizenship from her and she enjoys Communism.

I think this season showed me she's better in small doses; but, you may be right about the unhinged part...ive been saying that I believe she's going to be the one to betray her dad. As i said, less of her, and way less of the Jimmy story line...they reduced three of the best characters on the show (Kayce, Jamie, and Thomas) to push Beth more and more; and, that Jimmy in Texas had no place in the story line, whatsoever...the show is called Yellowstone, not Jimmy In Texas.

I believe the story about the lady in charge of the hedge fund gets pushed more next season, which means more Beth. Btw, whatever happened to the head hunter Thomas brought in...whatever happened to her? A couple of episodes, that went nowhere for her, and she was gone. She was just as interesting as Beth, to me.

But, we definitely need more Kayce and Jamie next season. Just wasn't the same with them reduced.

Also, I started watching Wheel Of Time, got about 15, 20 mins in and turned it off. I know you said they turned it into a woke pos; but, what I gathered from a small dose of it, show wise, is it is trying to be the new Star Wars...ALL men are worthless garbage, that women have to save everything from. Is that the way it is in the books? Don't get me wrong, I love me some hero women (I'm loving Yennefer on The Witcher; love El on Stranger Things; love the Agent in Atomic Blond, so on and so forth); however, I refuse to let bs be shoved straight down my throat, to the point its as obvious as day and night. Worth in all people. I've wanted to ask you should I give it another try, I haven't read the books? Did you finish the first episode or two?
I have watched the whole season because I wanted to say that I gave it a fair chance. The books are awesome...the show is an abomination...a rainbow coalition- feminazi twist on the story.

I love book #1 in the series, but it does have issues. If you read them, it is actually the weakest of the first seven, by book the end of book two you are fully hooked...

Then there is "The Slog"...books 7-11, which is where you sometimes wish things would move along, but they do a great service in building up the sense of pure dread of impending doom and the spiraling into madness of the main character...after that it pretty quickly draws to a massively satisfying conclusion in books 12-14.

I don't like building up TWoT so much that people have such high expectations that they can't get into it...I will just say that I luckily stumbled into it and it is my second favorite work of fantasy after The Silmarillion.

I hate what they have done to the story in the show, these are not the same characters, countries, cultures...well really anything...it is an abomination.

You attended those games---didn't you :cool::cool:

Yessir! They were awesome. We had to keep @BaldBiker sedated, or WWII would have started early…of course, on reflection, that might have been a better route. Waking the American giant before Pearl Harbor would have saved many lives. @InVOLuntary , @BaldBiker and I did tear up a biergarten and bierhalle. At our 3rd and last stop, we caused a big ruckus at Hofbrauhaus. @BaldBiker swears that he broke Heinrich Himmler’s nose. (If you check pictures, you can see it). The Gestapo really wasn’t that tough compared to 3 Tennessee boys. We were able to leave through the back thanks to our waitress (@InVOLuntary was sweet talking her, that may have started everything since she was dating a Gestapo captain). We led the SS on a merry tour of Munich before losing them (not catching a Memphian).
All in all a fun trip in August 1936 before classes started in the Fall. Tennessee went 6-2-2 that year. Kinda disappointed in the season…little did we know that the 38 & 39 seasons were coming up and the greatness of Tennessee football was being born right in front of us!

It’s happening again now. 15-0 🤠

First off, I laughed. Secondly, you, Invol and BB should collaberate on a book series detailing your escapades across Nazi Germany. Would be a best seller!

You write a 10k manifesto on girls bball that attempts to destroy my soul, then if you don't turn around and say MMJ is your favorite band. You sir are a walking, typing contradiction of the highest order. Salute.

My son was fortunate enough to tour a concentration camp at Austwithc(sp) many years ago, and to this day, when thinking about the experience of walking through one of the gas chambers still gives him chills to think about.
Apparently its illegal in Germany to discuss Nazism.

Germans ive spoken with are super tight lipped about the War. Understandeably so.

Education is a reminder. its necessary.

Most players are taught from an early age when a shot goes up to turn and box out your man…. This may eliminate that player from getting the rebound but it also eliminates you from getting the rebound….. when I coached…. I taught my kids to chase the rebound and then box out….. when a shooter shoots….. you can tell if the rebound is going to be short….. if it isn’t short 95% or more goes back side….. run to the area the ball is going and then start clearing out…. Great rebounders chase the ball first.

I was always put on the opponents best rebounder (and usually lead scorer) My only job was to make sure that player had their worst game. 🤠

I’ll be going to Frankfurt, it’s like the business portion of Germany so almost everyone speaks English. “You guys know we whooped that arse in WW2 right?”
My buddy lived in Frankfurt. Also, have a relative still there, distant as it is. Very friendly to Americans.

I'd head over toward Obersalzberg, then have that conversation.

'How's it feel? (deep breath) All that freedom?'
