I've got a friend at Auburn, and he thinks Harsin is toast. Said players have been saying that he didn't "treat them like people" and the locker room is essentially in a bad place right now. Especially after all these coaches have left.

Derek Mason resigning, screwing them out of a buyout, was pretty telling for me. He may not be a great head coach, but that guy is a good dude and players LOVE him. I still really wish he was our DC, as I think he would mesh well with Huepel's staff and the way our group is doing things.

Wait, she moved from Boise State to Auburn? (Edit, now I’m seeing some of the related tweets). I feel like that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms. Harsin in some boiling hot water for sure

Don't get me wrong, our coaches and admin for a decade plus have been miserable. However, you are right, for some reason we get hammered anytime we fire a garbage coach. But Auburn, LSU, and Florida can fire people like crazy even after winning Natty's and no one bats an eye.

Agreed @Bassmaster_Vol same reason we need LSU to be good against FLA, we need AU to be good against UGA. We have to play a juggernaut EVERY year in Alabama. We need those other two rivals in the East to have similar cross-divisional competition.

If Kirby Wiggums can win a national championship, Jimbo, who already has, can certainly win another. He’s not a bad coach. And now he has talent coming out of his ears like never before. Shoot, Kirby proved you can be a moran and get it done. It won’t be this year, but within three years, if he keeps this up, he’s hoisting a trophy.

Exactly. People complain that it’s unfair that we have to play Bama every year and yet don’t want AU to be good. I’d love it if UGA had to play a Bama every year

Banks are a pain in the ass these days. They are so scared of making decisions. I wish you the best with that.

Even if there isn't a morals clause in his contract (incredibly doubtful), or his morals clause doesn't mention stuff like this, they could still get him for a violation of university policy. "You must follow university rules" clauses are boilerplate too and I'm sure having an affair with a subordinate is forbidden under those rules.

The only problem I have with Auburn is a lot of time we are competing for the same recruits, but I pull for them against Bama and UGA. I don’t mind a dumpster fire somewhere else for a year or two though.

We both recruit heavily in GA. They've been beating us out for recruits because they've been winning more and they're willing to do things UT won't. That has given them advantages. We can control that by addressing the issues on our side. Overall, a weaker UGA and Bama helps us more than a weaker Auburn.

Still, burn dumpster, burn.

I'd much rather this be happening at Alabama or Georgia, sure. But Auburn struggling does help us.

We don't need Auburn to beat Alabama for it to help us get to Atlanta. Auburn slugging it out with us for recruits hurts us more than them beating Alabama.

Auburn beating Georgia could help us in the standings. I'd still rather us land the recruits that Auburn has been beating us for and let our own program have a shot at dethroning Georgia.

Just because it isn't happening to the programs that we hate the most doesn't mean that it isn't good for us.
