I imagine walking in Augusta, especially in the spring, has to feel like walking in Heavens golf course.

Augusta National IS the Mecca of golf. I was last there when Tiger won in 2019. A Sunday unlike any other in so many respects. Prior to that I had attended at least two rounds of the tournament each year since 1993. The evolution and changes to the facilities in the last 30 years has been nothing short of amazing. The golf course has always been A1A.
Looking forward to entering those hallowed grounds again in a couple months.

That whole coast drive up from Ventura to Monterey was just...🤯...there are no words that I can say that really do it justice.

If you want to be truly speechless, check the real estate prices there. Holy crab were the prices beyond belief.

My favorite restaurant in Carmel is Casanova. Most impressive wine cellar that I had ever seen. Food was awesome and reasonably priced.

We know all those stud defensive players didn't pick ATM because of Mike Elko. And I doubt it was because of his replacement, D.J. Durkin.

Yep wouldn’t they have had at least a couple guys reopen recruitment after Elko left if it was legit recruitments? It tells me the kids were tied into a particular deal and didn’t care like normal

The price of everything is insane in California.

the darkness of the off season has settled into this thread like low gray clouds over the frost bitten plateau
And we wait in the darkness, eagerly awaiting that bright Orange disk to rise and defeat the bruised sky. And once again let it's warm orange rays kiss and warm our faces.

And until it does...... Buck Fama!

I have played Pebble Beach, Spyglass, and Spanish Bay. My best 4 hole stretch ever was at Pebble with birdie, birdie, par, par. Of course I started with a triple, double bogey, then bogey. 😳When I hit the good holes, the caddie said here we go! And I just started laughing. I shot a 42 on the front 9 snd a 50 on the back 9. On the 18th hole I pulled the hell out of my drive. It was headed to the Pacific. The ocean swell went down and my ball hit an exposed rock face then bounced to the middle of the fairway 😂. Only par I had on the back 9.

My son was 4 when I played Pebble. I brought him a hat. He asked me to take him to play Pebble Beach. I said that I would when he became a teenager. He didn’t say anything about it afterwards. As his 13th birthday approached, I asked him if he wanted to do anything in particular? His response: When are we playing Pebble Beach? 😳 He and I played Spyglass and Spanish Bay but couldn’t get on Pebble yet 😐 You have to stay on property to get guaranteed tee times at Pebble…
Been fortunate to play Spyglass and San Francisco Golf Club…..really want to play Pebble one day. That would be so cool for you to play there with your son

Only if you're actually gambling on it though right? I don't know the laws, just never heard of criminal inquiries regarding throwing games. We've all known teams to throw games toward the end of the season and nobody ever acted like the feds were going to get involved.
It is shaving points. I guess it's not illegal but if they are offering him money to tank games that is getting close. The Black Sox went on trial for it. They were just paid and did not bet on the games.
