I’ll still never understand how Albright literally had all the long snapping accolades and then somehow seemingly forgot how to long snap….. it doesn’t make sense.

per my brother who played on 2 state title teams with him: "Will would get so nervous before some games he would puke, and his snaps in big games weren't good".....

Their Greeneville teams steam-rolled everyone they played, they literally NEVER punted, but Will was a practice All-Star snapper.

Add all those factors together and it makes perfect sense when you think about going in as a True Freshman playing SEC ball

Wasn't the whole Ewers thing because it wasn't allowed in Texas to pay HS players? Could be wrong but thought I remembered hearing that.

It's nothing new for the hight 4/5 stars out of highschool.

It is new when you are having to pay a mediocre player 300k dollars just to stay on the team.

Paying players legally and the transfer portal are killing the sport.

For years, people said college players should be paid and now people say paying players is ruining the game. I bet, all the tea in China, the players don't think that way

He didn't say that someone didn't get paid for a player, it just wasn't the player directly, and it was done in a way that wasn't against the rules. Skirting rules has been an art form in Alabama for many decades.

Heck, Saban not only bought the players, but throw in the Momma‘s Daddy’s, sisters and brothers for good measure. (prostitutes and cars are off budget items and not calculated in the player cost figures)
