Landry micromanaged both sides of the ball. One season he ran plays in with alternate QBs Morton and Staubach. Innovation that didn’t take.
But that was adapted by other teams, iirc, and prolly Landry, sending plays to the huddle via rotating WRs or backs, who told the QB outside the huddle one on one, and then the QB called the play in the huddle. Later signaling from the sideline came about after.

As for scripting, I was talking about Walsh.

Mine last a month and it’s been over a year and my smell and taste still aren’t the same as it was
Same. A year and a half and most things are at least slightly off from before COVID. Some things are wildly different, and that "COVID" sewage taste and smell is all I can sense with garlic, onions, and coffee.

Lest you feel doomed, it does come back for some. Wifey's did in about a month.
My world is bland. Colorless. It’s been two days, but I hate it with fire. They accidentally put Mayo on my burger today and I died a little inside when I didn’t even notice until the last bite. MAYO! 😩

No one else ever shuttled quarterbacks. I think Landry scripted plays also. Walsh’s dated from his days as OC for Paul Brown in Cincy.

Don’t want to bump his thread since there’s no smoke about it - but I wonder with Harbaugh heading to the NFL, if Kody Jones would try to get released from his NLI and come to Tennessee. Similar to how Dylan Brooks did us last year.

PS - Hope you’re enjoying the dysfunctional dumpster fire Auburn is, Dylan.

Sue them!
Mustard is in the Bible
Disgusting mayonnaise is not
Therefore it is of the devil

High percentage wasn’t the norm til Bill Walsh. You were alive.
I know that had something to do with it, but I just don't think those 70s era QBs were as talented at throwing the ball as the 80s era QBs onward. Like I said..I thought Terry was awesome until I saw guys like Marino and Montana etc etc etc show up.

Covid is so weird..thankfully coffee, garlic and onions only smell muted to me, if at all...not like sewage. I went through a small spell of that for a few weeks but it stopped.

Lol...that will change. I couldn't taste anything sour or tangy for a while, but that came back to close to normal.
