And he lied and cheated because that is all he has ever known. Him flirting with Louisville while in season and his team ranked number 1 is classic Pearl. He really is a piece of crap. They gave him a lifetime contract when they should've been pissed. He is just an unprofessional Butch Jones carnival barker except he really can coach. Just a very corrupt person to the core. And yes, I did enjoy what he did here but doesn't change what he has done and what he is at his core.

All this talk about some of our past coaches just points out the danger of hiring someone with questionable morals. I would include Kiffin, Pearl, Donnie Tyndall, Pruitt, a few assistant coaches, and even some AD's as examples. I think Barnes and Heupel are solid and I hope they have much success at UT.

He just led the league in TDs and yards.

If you just mean going out winning...sure but 20/20 and all that. But he was still playing as a top QB, so I wouldn't say the decision was wrong at all. Losing 2 of his 3 top receivers definitely hurt in the playoffs...and shoot they still almost pulled it off. I'm convinced TB sold his soul to the devil just like ole Fulmer did How could he not age more?!

Yep. Pearl was an assistant at Iowa and recorded Thomas admitting that Illinois offered him $$$ to go to Illinois. Pearl turned it in to the NCAA and got Illinois in trouble. So many D1 coaches blackballed Pearl because they all cheated and had a gentleman agreement not to squeal on each other.

I had to ski it!
Volunteer ski run in Breckenridge today.
Groomed black run.
I skied it 5 times today. It’s awesome. My new favorite ski run.
(Wouldn’t have considered it if it wasn’t groomed)

Wow I never realized that about him geez.

Only a 1.3 TD:Int career ratio. Interesting.

His 2 best stat seasons (td/int) were merely
1993 25 tds and 10 INTs
1997 26 tds and 11 INTs
