With Roy not at UNC and with Coach K out, I think it's a smart move if Pearl goes. He can likely push 5m a year and be in position to become "the team" in the ACC.

Exactly. It’s a genius move by the staff. We were already low on scholarships anyway, if they keep it low until spring is over that counts as self imposed scholarship reductions for 20/21 year.

Mack was already the 7th highest paid...K will be retiring so I could see Bruce being between Beard & Wright which would put him 3rd.

ACC may actually have some serious coaching turnover in the near future. Got quite a few close to retirement and quite a few that may get shown the door early based on how poorly they've been lately.

Agreed. Bama is the master of playing these games where they play the rules and turn a negative into a positive. If we can’t fill a few spots with the guys we want then calling these spots self-induced scholly reductions to score points with the NCAA whether we care about that or not is not only a good idea, it’s the prudent thing to do. If we can get the guys we want, even better.

I'm not angry at all lol. My point is that it wouldn't be beneficial to Tennessee. We're just gonna take our roster deficit and claim it's a penalty, when it's clearly just a roster deficit no different than any other team that fires their coach.
