Our numbers situation per VQ

Tennessee heads into the final recruiting weekend with 72 players currently on scholarship. They have seven who have yet to arrive from the 2022 class making their number for summer currently 79 before any more additions or subtractions via the transfer portal or newcomers like Jenkins or Mitchell who would be added to the class.

If Tennessee is not able to add either of those two then you are looking at six possible additions via transfer following spring practice if no one else leaves the program between now and then. That means Tennessee should be north of 80 and could be at a full strength of 85 in the fall for football season.

Thought this was funny. He told those involved that he does not wash football uniforms, and does not mow the football field. LOL Cause as a single A school as most of you know the coaches do it all. LOL My friend said the ball is in his court. They are shock that he was even interest. Just thought you guys would enjoy this little bit of news. This is as far as my insider goes. Single A High School. HAHA!

I wonder how much football he has left in him….. he turns 68 this year and had talked about retiring the year before.

They need to go ahead and try to get striplin ready to try and take those back up minutes.

Yeah. If I understand this clear as mud situation, it is just restriction through the spring. Which is the end of the calendar academic year. Should be able to get back to 85 after spring semester is over.

Exactly. It’s a genius move by the staff. We were already low on scholarships anyway, if they keep it low until spring is over that counts as self imposed scholarship reductions for 20/21 year.

It is impossible that Striplin would not be more impactful than Saunders. Saunders has poor hands, slow feet that are slowed down even more because of poor instincts. She should never see meaningful minutes.

He still wants to coach and that is the only reason he is considering the job. My source is as solid as you can get. He said they are having to come up with some money to help him purchase a house on the Mountain Jasper Highlands. The development by Thunder Thornton.

Are we slow playing Giovanni Davis cause of academic concerns or something?

He's higher rated than Jenkins and a local product. Seems like the only reason he's not already signed is because we've asked him not to. PWO maybe?

I don't think there are academic "concerns", it sounds from his thread they are certain he wouldn't qualify.
