Pittsburgh

Go to Pittsburgh. LSU fans are hoodlums and like you said, who knows when we'll play Pitt again.
I would choose Pitt because it will be a once in lifetime opportunity to see Vols play there. That being said, I have seen UT place @lsu 4 times and Tiger fans have been great. Been invited to tailgates, given free beers as I walked through parking lots, etc.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is pretty close to Pittsburgh and it's worth checking out. I've been to both and Death Valley is a better experience (when we win) but Pittsburgh is likely to not happen again for a long long time.

If it was my money, I’d go see Pitt for exactly the reason you stated, we may never play them again.

I spent 3 unfortunate weeks at Ft. Indian town Gap, no beer is sold at grocery stores (at least that’s what the guy at Walmart told us,) so be prepared for that.

Yeah, Pennsylvania liquor laws fall between Iran and Saudi Arabia. It's a mess trying to figure out where you can buy what.

If you can swing time to take a tour at Yuengling, it’s very impressive and I would go again in a heart beat…even though the town it’s in is basically methvegas.

Gettysburg is cool too, we only did a guided tour of the battlefield, but didn’t explore the surrounding area. I think it’s something every American should see.
I bought beer at a grocery store this summer in Pennsylvania. The trick is that some of the grocery stores have attached liquor stores. Just need to keep your eyes open for the other register.

My experience in 2005 was decidedly different.

I remember now our tour guide at Yuengling said they have people drive from over an hour away to buy beer at the brewery because of something with the state laws makes it easier just to do that.

Luckily we ran into a bar just outside post that doubled at a bottle shop.

The view of downtown driving out of the Fort Pitt Tunnel is amazing. Not really a “thing to do” in an activity sense; but still, something you’ve gotta do if you’re up there. The Pirates host the Cardinals that weekend and PNC Park is really nice. The Pirates will probably be a good 20+ games out in the NL Central by September if recent history is any indicator, so tickets will probably be a pretty straightforward proposition if you want to make a weekend of it and watch baseball on Friday evening when you get into town, or on Sunday. There are restaurants up that incline with great city views, too… Duquesne Incline if you want to look it up.
It's totally unforgettable. It's a pretty town now.

Can hit a casino in Maryland. Then go to harpers ferry west Virginia. In my opinion the ride up i-81 into west Virginia is beautiful. Where the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers join is just awesome scenery. Pittsburgh isn't too far from there. If have time also definitely go to Gettysburg too.
There’s basically a casino in the stadium too.

The one in Pennsylvania.... Our group has been debating whether to go to Pitt or LSU next year, and while LSU would no doubt be a LOT of fun, we have no idea when we would get to play Pitt up there again. So... Any of ya'll have any recommendations on what to do up there? What to see and where to go? The game is early enough in the season that I am sure the weather will be pretty nice, so outdoor stuff should be good to go.

Most of all we are hoping for some sweet sweet revenge.

OH. You didn't mean THE "PITCHBURG". lol
