You know what really grinds my gears? Parents yelling at referees at peewee basketball, baseball, and soccer games. Sit the F down. The refs aren’t being paid and they do it for fun. You couldn’t even pay me to officiate peewee ball, because I’d end up fighting daddy.

Well….most of them do get paid. Not a lot. I officiated basketball as a teenager and got paid. I’ve coached my oldest son’s team for 5 years. Never been T’ed up, but I do expect them to put forth as much effort as my kids do.

We pay our youth soccer refs in Fort Worth. The pay actually isn’t bad….$18-$76 per game as center ref depending upon the age group (Under-6 up to under-19). Even the assistant refs (linesmen) make $18-$50 per game depending upon the age.

imo ur looking at 1-200k for 2-3 year agreement for a top250 kid
Lots of it depends on position just like NFL.
QB ur looking at 1.5-2 million a year

it all will settle and flip around. I know one 250 kid not coming to TN that was offered 225k and that was over 3-4 years.

So if we want Nico, it's going to cost 2 mil a year. Problem is, Bama, OSU and whoever else will also offer that. So then it boils down to basic recruiting. We could offer him 2 million and not land him. Outrageous
