A part of me would love to see the Bengals win it all, but outside of the Titans, I’ve always pulled for the NFL team with the most contributing VFL. So 49ers or KC for me.

Bruce is crushing it at Auburn, but how many times have we seen a Bruce team come out hot and then get kind of flat/bored for a few weeks?

The fact that it was in the first quarter is the whole problem. You should never do it in the first quarter. We don't have numbers on the success rate for 2 point conversions from the one. I doubt it is 80%.

I read where it is estimated to be between 65-70% success rate from the one compared to 93% on extra points…Having Derrick Henry probably makes them feel like that % is a little bit higher.

If there’s a pending lawsuit, you don’t show your cards at all. You save it for court. Doesn’t allow them to counter. This isn’t a criminal case where everything has to be open. This will be a civil case and I think that makes it different in court. I hope that if they don’t drop it that he gets so publicly embarrassed by his malfeasance that no team will ever consider hiring him.

arguing over the 1pt/2pt conversion feels like zooming way in on a larger issue that ultimately cost the titans the game - bad calls on offense and lack of execution on offense.

I think that the conversion was 1 play in a pile of bad plays on offense that you could point to as deciding factors. I don't think the conversion makes my top 5 worst offensive calls.

Tannehill played a terrible game at his position, starting with the first play on offense.

Titans got too cute and it cost them. Not the first time that that has happened to that staff.

We had greedy morons at the helm here, no doubt about it. Even still, what Saban did for Alabama, to college football on the whole, and against Tennessee was like a cat 5 hurricane and 8.0 earthquake hitting us at the same time.

Saban is great but he didn’t do anything to college football…. The rest of college football did it to themselves….. Alabama cares so much about football that they won’t stay down for very long at all….. the administration, fan base, city, professors, police are all pulling in the same direction…. Now look over at the Tennessee program…. We are investigating ourselves and turning ourselves in for things that would make Alabama laugh…. Look at all our arrests for marijuana and different things like…. Doing a google search…. The only Alabama players arrested for minor crimes like that were in the state of Louisiana…. They even had one player that police found 112 grams of marijuana and 4,700 dollars cash in his room that the police decided not to charge…. Everyone is focused on that football program as much as possible…. I want us to all be pulling in the same direction as well…. With our passionate fan base…. We could become similar to what Alabama has done.

Steve, I agree with everything you said but Austin is not an hour away from Arlington unless you have an amazingly fast jet . Everything else sounds solid though

@200 miles. I have driven it in just under 2 hours (many year ago). Admin misplaced my DPS renewal. Came to me and told me that if the re-application was not in the Austin DPS office by 5:00, then my prescribing privileges would be suspended. This was at 1PM. Grabbed the paperwork and check and headed out. I had a Jeep Wrangler (wasn’t going to make it), drove to switch cars with my wife (Irving) Honda Accord. Then took off. Arlington to Irving took 25 minutes. It was 2PM when I got my wife’s car and filled the tank. Made it to Austin by 4:30.
Drive home took 3 hours (no hurry at that point) Thankfully no police sighted on trip down. I averaged 100. Accord was very smooth at that speed.

Flight time is really only 35-40 minutes…flew once.

Huh?? He revolutionized the game in multiple ways. The reason that all of the most successful programs operate the way that they do now are because of things that he did/does.

Absolutely win that game 9/10 times with the same rosters, location, and stakes if you play it again and again.

I have said for years that college football is headed down the same path. This NIL stuff will hasten its demise. When they began relying on TV money, the fans got the bad end of the deal. NASCAR thought they could live without real fans and CFB is on its way there as well.

Henry is coming off injury, sometimes it takes time to work off the rust

You're right about that. Mal Moore cleaned up their mess and stabilized the program. Saban took it from there.

Alabama got so lucky Saban fell into their laps when he did all the admins did was just get out of his way…but I wouldn’t call what they did great by any means more like “lucky”
