Sigh, this is why I don’t follow this crap anymore. Did he confuse which UT he picked?
He quickly jumped in the boat, people got excited. He stopped in Oxford before coming to Knoxville and people lost their minds. He interviewed and said Vol fans have nothing to worry about, and people freaked out because he said, "SHOULD have nothing to worry about." Then he visited Texas and people freaked out, but he's still communicating with the players and coaches at the school he's committed to.

Kid didn't get much of a recruiting cycle in high school because he was a late bloomer who was slept on. He's taking his visits. If he decides to stay closer to home in Austin, so be it. But right now he's a Vol.

Now that I have to eat healthier… Anyone have any good rubs/marinades for chicken, fish, shrimp… Trying to switch it up.
Louisiana Cajun Seasoning for skrimp and fish...

Been trying to go sodium free in chicken-rice-broccoli bro diet. Try some low sodium soy...even a little goes a long way. Spices and heat helps too, just to avoid more sodium. Feel so old out here looking out for sodium 😅

Grateful.

That's the only word I could think of when my dad passed, way too soon at 53.

Grateful to have a dad I met.
Grateful to have a dad I met and I knew.
Grateful to have a dad I met, I knew, and was a good and loving dad.
Grateful to have a dad I met, I knew, was a good and loving dad, and had him for 25 years.

Grateful and blessed compared to so many. I'm sure you feel that and then some. We are lucky to never have had a passed father, a bum dad, a hateful man, or one simply absent.

Hopefully you get through this period well, at ease, and with good memories InVol.
My worst fear. My cancer coming back and taking me from my 2 year old. Perspective is sometimes earned in suffering. Value what’s important at the end of the day.

With regard to Isaiah Neyor.. I’m not sure why any high-level WR would NOT want to play in Josh Heupel’s offense. Throw in Tennessee’s fandom and gameday experience even moreso a head scratcher. This business of it coming down to the wire on every solid recruit is both perplexing and draining. Par for the course I suppose.

(Sorry for the run-on sentences.)

Problem is his suitors all have offenses great for WRs. Clearly the best of the best at WR production cover him. Hopefully we hang on. I’ll believe when I see it

I’ll have to give it a try… I’m down 13 pounds in three weeks since my surgery. But I need more options and switch things up. Getting older sucks lol

Absolutely. This last month has put a lot into perspective for me as well. Glad you are cancer free and doing well. Kids make it a whole other ball game when you worry about your health.

Mrs Dash. Multiple options. Also get an air fryer if you don’t have one already.
I’ve got one… trying to stick to grilled for a while. But may have to whip it out for a few things. Plan on grilling some wings this week and I may have a finish a few in the air fryer…

Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers.

As many of you know, my dad has been suffering from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. It's basically a lung disease where your lung tissue just hardens with scar tissue. Idiopathic means they don't know what causes it. There is no cure other than a lung transplant.

He was diagnosed a little over two years ago, just a few months before my mom died of Alzheimers disease. He progressively got worse where he literally could not convert air to oxygenate his body.

He's been ready to go for some time. He passed early this morning a little after 3:00AM.

My dad and I were literally best friends. He was in business with me until retirement when he quit to care for my mom. No way I could have gotten this business off the ground without him. It's a huge loss for me but I take comfort in that He's no longer suffering.

Again, thanks to all my friends here who prayed or just had us in your thoughts. Please continue to pray for peace for our family. He was really a great man that everyone that knew him loved him. I seriously don't know of anyone that didn't like him.

Thanks to @LA Vol and @Orange Studs who were always asking about him. This is a community of some really great folks here. Thanks, @Freak for giving us this platform.

Finally, if your fortunate enough to still have your parents around, please give them a hug. They won't always be there.
Continued prayers for you and your family.

Hibachi it... fish is usually great with citrus (lemon juice, lime, orange etc.), chicken is good with about everything. Also check out Rainbow Plant Life (youtube channel & website) she does vegetarian/vegan dishes. Really good stuff too!

No route from Wyoming to Texas and through Auburn, Alabama so I feel pretty good.

First had this (BBQ Curry Rub) on some grilled chicken at my sister's house in Palm Harbor, FL - it's awesome! Have also had the Sweet Island Rub. Liked it too. Home - Pirate Jonny's

Grilled chicken marinated in Pineapple juice and Hanks Honey Habanero Hot Sauce then sprinkled with Johnny’s Seasoning Salt. I marinate for 24-36 hours. Grilled pineapple and yellow rice as sides.

I’m so very sorry, InVOL. You and your family are in my prayers.

So is salt bad this week? I can't keep up. Seriously, I've heard it both ways.

Edit: I do eat a massive amount of broccoli. It's a joke around here with wifey. But I figure it's good for me, and as long as it is tossed in olive oil and salt, I can eat it all day. Plain, meh.

I’ll pray for you, you’re on the other side of what I pray waits a long for my boy. He needs Christ more than me, but I’ll plead every day I get to stick around as long as I can.
