What I don’t get about numbers is how does a school like South Carolina allowed to have 98 scholarships currently? Their 247 Mod said they have 98 scholarships and have to get to 85 by August and are just taking upgrades to rosters with plans to cut to the number later. Why can’t we do this? Is it an enrolled number? Perhaps since we had so many EE in signing class and maybe their 98 are not enrolled numbers?
Covid year. All players got a year of eligibility. What I don’t get about numbers is how does a school like South Carolina allowed to have 98 scholarships currently? Lot of hand-wringing over the Defensive Staff/Personnel. Some of you implying that there is no plan, blah, blah, blah.
1) They know who they already have on the roster and how they project to develop.
2) They know if Transfer A would actually be an upgrade over a player they have had a year to develop.
3) They weigh whether Transfer A would be a positive or a negative for team chemistry.
4) They know. We don't. And they don't feel it necessary to share their plans.
5) There is nothing you have thought of that they haven't.
Prayers brother. Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers.
As many of you know, my dad has been suffering from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. It's basically a lung disease where your lung tissue just hardens with scar tissue. Idiopathic means they don't know what causes it. There is no cure other than a lung transplant.
He was diagnosed a little over two years ago, just a few months before my mom died of Alzheimers disease. He progressively got worse where he literally could not convert air to oxygenate his body.
He's been ready to go for some time. He passed early this morning a little after 3:00AM.
My dad and I were literally best friends. He was in business with me until retirement when he quit to care for my mom. No way I could have gotten this business off the ground without him. It's a huge loss for me but I take comfort in that He's no longer suffering.
Again, thanks to all my friends here who prayed or just had us in your thoughts. Please continue to pray for peace for our family. He was really a great man that everyone that knew him loved him. I seriously don't know of anyone that didn't like him.
Thanks to @LA Vol and @Orange Studs who were always asking about him. This is a community of some really great folks here. Thanks, @Freak for giving us this platform.
Finally, if your fortunate enough to still have your parents around, please give them a hug. They won't always be there.
And more prayers, my friend. So very, very sorry. Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers.

That's true. I wasn't considering weird crap or LSD induced fantasies. This is an excellent post. I have to disagree with point #5 though.
We are capable and very likely have thought of some weird ass scenarios that never even entered the coaches minds. Relevant? Not hardly , but technically it’s correct…![]()
I am sorry for your loss. Both of your losses. I lost my father when I was young and I think about him every day. I don't know if it ever gets easier. Hopefully you have a lot of good times and memories to draw from, and lots of great ways to celebrate his life as you go on.Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers.

My first thoughts with the troubles at LB and DB, we are having is that we should be playing a 9-1-1. Some of our DL could drop back in coverage, right? This is an excellent post. I have to disagree with point #5 though.
