We will never know but it’s a big difference in having influence over a 16-18 year old kid that is stealing purses to have a little bit of money than it is to still have influence over a 20-24 year old Tyson that drives a Lamborghini and has millions of dollars at his disposal.

He may not be a troll, but the amount of bandwidth he accounts for, either saying stupid stuff or others calling him out for doing so, is certainly troll level. Use the button.

Already agreed on Cus but do think everything else compounded his issues. Mike looked good for a while after losing him, less focused but still showing technical improvement. Almost a wash.
Sure, already changing but each new encounter, Robin, King whoever, seemed to trigger a new regression.

Couldn’t agree more, they came into the East when the East has been as low as it’s ever been, hung a couple East banners and now act like they have been SEC contenders since the start of the SEC!

its all that gameday atmosphere and pageantry.

Hubbs et al routinely say its worst place in SEC to cover a game, 0 facilities and fan support. Said last game there was like a Juco or HS game.

He still had Rooney after Cus died, but I don't believe Rooney held the same sway that Cus did. I think when he lost Cus, all those outside influences were able to seep in. Don King, Robin Givens, bad habits... I think Cus's death opened up a door that let all that eventually weasel its way into his life.

Cus was the man that changed his life. Whether or not he'd have listened, we'll never know, but if anyone could have influenced Tyson, it would have been Cus.

Anyone who has studied Tennessee’s history will understand that we don’t have 6 national championships. Fulmer and Dickey will both tell you that the 67 team was not a national champion. Just because some poll that no one paid any attention to back then had us number one doesn’t make it so.
