Analogy is simple as addressed. We wouldn't miss Golesh from the playcalling perspective. Yes. UGA won't miss Lanning from playcalling Kirby's defense. Yes. Clearly wasn't my point. Oregon hired him as their HC and UGA hated to lose an important piece of their OVERALL puzzle. Oregon isn't sniffing Golesh along with 99% of other non-factor playcallers. That's because his role there was MUCH larger than that. If you've followed em, you've heard it. If not, then I get the view that he's a nobody and Oregon, the idiots, just hired a complete nobody as their HC. And Kirby is a 1 man pony show. He's so great.
I just don't agree. Staffs and programs, unless you're Saban (which I do not agree Kirby is) are much bigger than 1 man and guys like Lanning have huge roles beyond what is their job title.
