I promise you're in the vast, vast minority. Most do not donate to help kids get an education.

I'm sure that most donors are more willing to spend more because of the benefits it affords others. Shocking as it may be, many wealthy people are actually generous. Of course the benefit to me is the best seats in the stadium, but I would be much less inclined to spend that much if there wasn't a deeper benefit.

Donations vs taxes. I do one voluntarily. I fight the other as hard as I can. When college is the same as pro, I'll watch from home.

I casually watch the NFL, but I invest heavily in college. Something I'm willing to do to provide a benefit to kids that otherwise wouldn't be able to attend college. When college ball is nothing more than NFL-lite, I doubt there will be as much incentive to donate. NIL and the portal have substantially degraded the emphasis on the school and have turned kids into mercenaries, just like their overpaid coaches. And yes, that will have (and already is having) a negative effect on college ball, and it's just starting.

The largest stadiums are college stadiums, not pro. The more college becomes like pro, the emptier the stadiums will be.

I don't begrudge college kids making money. I do resent my favorite hobby morphing into something I no longer love.
Exactly

We weren't meant to be, but they've already gotten to that point, and that was the ruling the Supreme Court made. At some point we have to accept that they're employees offering a service that makes their employer money, and should be compensated by their employer for that beyond the cost of school.
Ok then...form a super league, then start a draft and salary cap it. Good luck going to Vandy as the #1 player and playing for 2-3000 people because they are the crappiest program in the SEC. Pro sports have to have rules like that to insure competition so tough ****.

Hey..now you are an acknowledged employee though so I'm sure you don't care..

I wish that there was a true minor league system for pros so people would shut up about this stupid crap. I won't watch or care just like I don't about the NFL.

I will always be a Vol no matter if it's all walk-ons with no schollarships.

I propose bringing back JV football with different seasons. Twice the fun and honestly I kinda got the football withdrawal shakes already.

Could the Universities set the sport up as a field that offers a degree. . . so playing in the sport is part of earning the degree? Probably how it should have been from the very beginning.

Playing different sports in high-school would be credited like language, history, art, or mathematics classes.

LOL, No. If you recall I was trying to find a bourbon to give to my brother. So I was going from store to store looking and one store recommended I enter their lottery. I had to take a buddy of mine with me to know what to buy.

Gotcha,..

Your brother needs help as well

I appreciate the intent behind this GIF, but it’s like when I watch medical shows and they ALWAYS hang the x-rays incorrectly, I get so exasperated. 🤣

So for specificity sake, it reads “Ilium, Ilium, Hooray!”

Sorry…had to do it. IB4 nerd alert!

Explains why Doc told me when looking at my brain x-rays, I see nothing but ass.

Edit; That makes no sense. I am Moranic
