- He was offered a HC position at FAU, which is a step up from OC but still a platform to a larger position. He did very well at FAU. They hated to see him go.

His path has been more than understandable/reasonable. He’s no different than the majority of HCs in CFB. They all took similar paths, except a lot of times, when they get knocked down, they don’t come back up as quickly. That because Kiffin is a heck of a HC.

Kiffin and his staff committed 12 NCAA secondary violations (that we know of) in the one year he was here. They also tried to take recruits with them to USC. People that were recruited on Tennessee's dime. So if integrity and good character mean anything to you, avoid this guy. If winning is all that matters, then by all means, bring him back.

Kiffin wants to compete for a NC. Ole Miss is a stepping stone for him.

Also, he calls the offense. Any OC he hires is a title only. Eyes in the press box. Nothing more.

Kiffin is a smart guy. It has been proven that it is possible to recruit at an elite level at Ole Miss. I see his 2022 class as saying something about the changing aspects of college football nowadays. Looks like Ole Miss' main focus right now is to spend much more time and energy getting players out of the portal than trying to get 17-18 year old high school kids to sign. The reality of high school kids now is that most of them aren't going to stick around the whole time. I personally don't like how its changed, but it makes sense to adapt and go with that strategy at a school like Ole Miss.

Very Mike Gundy like. Kiffin is a West Coast guy, that will always be where he wants to be. I don't see him at Ole Miss after next year and if a job opens up in the Pac 12 like Arizona I see him taking that leap. He could keep AZ talent, plus dip into CA and cycle them up quickly vs having to try and win compete in the SEC West yearly.

Summary: he will leave wherever he’s at if a opportunity that’s better in his opinion comes calling.

Good. He should. We all should. We all do things to better our situation. What imbecile wouldn’t? Sometimes that’s staying put. Sometimes it’s leaving.
