Tee Time????

He left us for what everyone knew was the only job he would have taken. Just so happened it was after his first season here and they were forced to go very far down their list. He's potentially turning Ole Miss into the next powerhouse of the west or at least the ones that will take Bama's spot once Saban retires, he ain't going anywhere.

Correct. I don’t care for kiffin or his antics but Hamilton was a moron for not placing a bigger buyout in kiffins contract. He knew that if USC opened up kiffin would likely take that job and it wasn’t exactly a shocker considering that Carroll’s name was being mentioned as a coach of interest in NFL circles.

Kiffin is not the flight risk some of y’all want to believe he is.
- Crazy Al Davis tried to get him to resign, so he left the Raiders.
- He had a good year at TN, and his dream job opened up. Sue him.
- Went to USC. They fired him. We laughed, but USC has sucked since, while Kiffin has gotten better.
- He became the OC at Bammer. Did well, but he’s a HC. We knew it wasn’t a permanent position.
- He was offered a HC position at FAU, which is a step up from OC but still a platform to a larger position. He did very well at FAU. They hated to see him go.
- Now he’s the HC at Ole Miss.
His path has been more than understandable/reasonable. He’s no different than the majority of HCs in CFB. They all took similar paths, except a lot of times, when they get knocked down, they don’t come back up as quickly. That because Kiffin is a heck of a HC.

Didn't Ole Miss just given Kiffin a raise to $7M a year (something like that)? Sounds like they want him to stay - like UT, FAU, Alabama, etc.

Would be interesting. He was only mediocre in his one OC job at USC. I think he was even co-coordinator. But Kiffin knows offense so if he would turn his O over to him he must know something we haven't seen in T.

I don’t think Kitten would ever turn over his offense to anybody, least of all an unproven, winning OC.

Yes a good HC and play caller. But he is still a punk that needed his A$$ kicked several times while he was still in his teens. Trash calls like the flopping his players did all year long. Sorry but to me that's inexcusable and speaks volumes about someone true personally.

Kiffin will always run the offense. Tee may get the OC title but everyone knows Kiffin runs the show and Tee is there to recruit.

Another boy band fan. Kiff is a walking soap opera, he’s Susan Lucci Jr.

I don't think so. He just got a raise at Ole Miss. Honestly, why would he ever leave Ole Miss? He isn't expected to win the division. If he wins between 7-9 games/ year with the occasional 10 win/ NY 6 bowl that fan base will be ecstatic.
Because he leaves. And signing an extension and getting a pay raise means absolutely nothing. So did Pruitt two years ago.

He left UT for USC (his dream job!). Was fired from USC and Saban hired him. Left Bama to become HC at FAU. Left FAU for Ole Miss. Ole Miss can pay him whatever he wants without the expectations of Bama, LSU, Auburn, UF, UT, UGA, etc. He has it made there as long as it doesn't go into the sh&tter!

Kiffin has changed his offense to something like Heupel's because he let Lebby call plays. Lebby was Heupel's offensive coordinate. The o ly different thing I noticed was Heupel slits the receiver's out wider to open up the middle.

Reason why there are no expectations at ole miss.

At some point he's got to see if he has the skills to become legendary at one spot, or just known as a great offensive mind and a good head coach (we really don't know that yet b/c he's never stayed long enough in one spot...maybe OM is his spot). I'd like to see him be very successful over there, b/c if he is, that takes the shine off LSU, TaM, Aub, and maybe Bama.

The reason Kiffin is a flight risk is because he and/or his agent put his name out for every decent sized job that comes up. One gets the sense that he prefers a bigger urban environment for whatever reasons and would take a job elsewhere in a minute. What Kiffy is doing is bringing Tee in for recruiting purposes and NOT to run the offense.

Because no coach's agent ever does this right?

That's why we never hear about James Franklin or Mike Gundy's names mentioned for at least one or more openings every season.

I laughed so good at this. History tells me Ole Miss will never be a power that takes over ever. Two, Kiffin will leave as soon as he is given a shot at a better place. History tells me that too.
Kiffin didnt leave because no one wanted him. I read today he inquired about the Oregon job and they werent interested.

It's OLE MISS! They won 10 regular season games for the 1st time this season. With that said, I'd say their expectations are in check.
According to sports reference, they have done it 11 times, most recently in 2015. Maybe they mean regular season, but they list all of the records, year by year. They also say that Tennessee has done it 19 times.

Yes, regular season. 10 wins. 1st time ever. Lane has it made there.
