This is a horse 💩 take...I honestly can't believe you don't see the problem with this.

I don't mean it to be. I honestly don't see anything wrong with what the QB did because looking at it from a defender's perspective I would've walloped him. It's simply not enough for me to bite on a slide. I've seen fair catch calls that are far more egregious. Maybe it's different if you watched the whole game and got caught up in it being a game changer but I was watching the boring B1G game instead. Taken alone I just don't see anything that 1. causes me to slow down. 2. looks particularly duplicitous. The defenders just got fooled. It happens.

A defender, imho, can never be afraid to lay a hit. If they are they then they need to hang it up. Yeah, every now and then you'll screw up or you'll get called unfairly but if you trust your instincts and play clean but hard that won't happen very often. If a player fools you it's not their fault. You learn from it and move on.

I listen to guys like Theo Von, Andrew Shultz, Santino, Bill Burr, Mark Norman, Tom Segura a lot. It’s a totally different kind of comedy
Typically, I like darker comedy better too (love some of these, Anthony Jeselnik, Patrice O'Neal, and Louis CK), but Gaffigan's got chops too. He's just got a different vibe.

“Now son, I don’t know if you’ve worked on this aspect of your game, but I’m Lane Kiffin, and no one - and I mean no one - will prepare you to fake injuries like I can. Let’s check the tape.”
Alright, everyone in the room, lay down. Doesn't matter where, just pick a spot. Lay down. Everyone down? It's comfortable, right? Now imagine you're doing this IN a football game.
