I am coming up my 12 year Volnation anniversary. I had read through some articles and a few threads before, but I really jumped in on that cold January night in 2010. Chaos was waving through Knoxville and there were reports of mattresses on fire on the Tennessee campus. Lane left. I was so sad and angry but also inspired by the fans. I wasnt in Knoxville, but i did set my Lane train t-shirt on fire in solidarity. That coaching search was so rushed and panicked but it was also an impossible situation. There was no time at all. Makes me mad at Lane again just thinking about it.

I was also really intrigued with what we were going to do next. Our recruiting class was falling apart. How were we gonna build this back? We were so close to being back on top and then we were immediately at the bottom lower than before. That was difficult to admit at the time for me. But Volnation and specifically this thread when i eventually found it, tucked away in what felt like a secret corner of the site, kept me hanging on. Kept my eyes looking forward. The folks in here spoke with wisdom and optimism. Thats how i wanted to be too. Reminded me of conversations with my Dad.

I've written a bunch of stuff and have come and gone many times over the years. Sometimes i have to step away for a couple months when the baseball talk gets too thick. But i appreciate this little thread and all of you. Its comforting to know you're always in here trying to figure out how the Vols are gonna get better.

Now think about all the dog scumbags that show up here, and WILL show up here. No way. I'll get banned, I will. Think about the dogs that will show up here, and how they will be. Efffffff that! And, I don't even want to imagine how they will be if they manage to pull off the National Championship. Frank will be throwing them out of this place in droves, along with a few of us, probably. I can't stand those dirt bags...at least I respect Bama's bullsh!t. ANYTHING to keep UGA right where they've been for 40 years, I'm ALL for.

What an awkward position to be in 😂 I mean if I am Diaz I’m not even recruiting. I’m finding another job. Screw being somewhere they don’t want you. I’d demand all my buyout as well, for them searching for another coach while I’m still the Head Coach.

Yes, Bama will have to hit a big one against GA early. Get up by like 10 pts. Bama is #4 vs. the rush. They have to shut that down and put the pressure on Bennett. Bryce Young proved he is cool under pressure last week. Bennett hasn't been pressured all year. Big issue for Bama is they cannot rush the ball, and it aint happen vs. Ga either. Young will have to hit quick throws and break a tackle to get long play in the pass game.

I need to consider Starlink. We can’t get internet where we live for some stupid reason. We don’t live out in the sticks either. 1.5 miles away where they are building new homes like crazy, they are running fiber optic to those homes, yet we can’t get anything! It’s frustrating.

Yeah most cable companies won’t run fiber optics unless there are enough customers willing to get cable and even then a lot of times the require y’all pay for all installation it’s so dumb.

I saw the Star Link lights one night when I was walking my dog, and it was kind of freaky because I had absolutely no idea what this string of lights moving across the night sky was. A quick YouTube search cleared it up for me, but it was unnerving until I figured it out because I had never hear of Star Link.

Similar for me. Cable is about 1 mile down the road. We're stuck with DSL which sucks. Anxiously awaiting Starlink.
