It takes time and as I said before the kids notice and 20 and 21 were a wash. Heup and crew hv to focus on 23 and beyond doing a lot of hand shaking and hugging babies just because one sided fandom likes something due to their allegiance doesnt make a kid love it the same.

Yet, with tweet and interview combined, you're still not convinced. With that, no matter what Heupel says or does, you're not going to be convinced until OU hires someone else. All that worry...for nothing. Heupel has put your worry at ease, countless times...you just don't see/hear it. That's sad. You should be excited, and all your energy should be 100 focused on what they're doing on the recruiting trail. Exciting times, my friend!

Naw that thread shutdown was because posters like @holeinroof ppl are still posting in Arch and other are posting kids before they are even in the portal or are committed elsewhere. Then @Freak or whoever is the Mod sends me messages and locks the threads. @butchna you're one I respect and hv given info before the board. The Wade twins and Barion were not closed because of 1 they committed to Ky nor 2 because Barion was uncommitted. It was because of weak ass fans mad because it was me. These posters went on and on about signing a white kid Wr from East TN who had no offer and trying to flip or get the Wr who eventually went to UGA I forgot his name but he's pretty good as a freshman playing opposite Adonai. Nobody said anything. They got their panties in a wad when I came and told the Butch chronicles. Also when I said what a shyt show Plowman was over that press conference and the self indictment on national news. So I don't really care anymore. They're actually entertaining to both myself and Buck.

There's some truth to this and you did it without bashing TN good job.
But to your point, I think people who are expecting huge returns from the portal are going to be disappointed. A lot of the kids jumping in the portal have no clue who JH and most of the coaches on staff are. WM RG and maybe Banks might be able to get in a kids ear but that's about all we got.

And this is what I've been trying to say for a whole season. Relationships outweigh a lot. We don't need UCF level guys UT has to get high level SEC recruits. If a kid is in the portal that's an indication right there. Currently there are over 2k in the portal. Most are stuck and stupid lmao. The portal is a horrible thing and helps further soften these young men to be entitled, quitters, and idiots. It also doesnt help that there's zero accountability for ADs and coaches who move at will also. So the players are due some freedom but what it has become is awful

I have already said I think he's staying. I just wish people wouldn't act like he definitively isn't leaving after this interview. I can simultaneously be excited about recruiting and next year and also call a spade a spade. I think the interview was probably done with Ainge in a semi-controlled way, and that's all we're going to get from them. They'll continue on the successful path they're on, until something steps in the way.

Cash flow is insane in the SEC, especially Baton Rouge. Is there really much difference in budgeting $9 a year when you need to shell out $15 for your guy? They get $50M/yr in shared TV revenue alone. Winning produces so much revenue. Smart man, throw the money bags around.

I find it comical how some people are just allowed to directly call out posters using vulgar, albeit misspelled language while also admitting to directing recruits to our rivals.

This is a message board for UT fans. He is not a UT fan. He is a would-be bagman trying to push his product while telling us "how real it is out there" working at Supercuts.
