I guess I look at it from the standpoint that he's not a freshman where the game is too fast for him. He's got a fair amount of D1 game experience and at a high level. It's possible that it just takes longer for some players, but one would assume by now that it would have slowed a bit and we'd see some signs of progress. Like I said, he's following JG so it's really hard to imagine a sequel with Milton...at least with the fan base. Heupel might and probably does see things differently. He's truly gifted physically. If the light does come on for him, the sky is the limit for a guy with his tools. Just doubt it happens here.It does seem that the offense that Hype runs may be a little slow for him. He has a chance here to slow it down if he starts. Most fans are done with him, for my occasion, if he starts Saturday I’ll give him this one last chance to correct it. If he doesn’t, then I’m done. If he doesn’t, then I say let’s get some thru the transfer portal and be done.
Milton might as well have carried his scholarship out of bounds with him with 0:00 left on the clock down by 5. It does not matter who or what position you are you sell your soul and put your body on the line for the end zone. He has no business on the field at all ever. It was the most disgusting thing I saw in that 4 hour gameI have a feeling he will start against Bama, so my question is, can Hype give him more advice during practice this week? Can he actually pull the trigger on his arm to get that ball to the receivers downfield without over shooting them. How much more can Hype do to get this corrected in practice? He is probably going to have to really practice starting today and a lot more trying to get it right. Man, I love his arm, but if he could just throw it accurately, he would be a superstar. I said he would be starting this week, because it’s just that feeling you know? If he does, is this his last chance to get it right in practice? Does he know this? Do we pull for him to get it right one last time if he starts?
No, he isn’t a freshman anymore. His experience should be showing what he can do now. Hype may still have have confidence in him, and not giving up to easily, like most of us have. I understand that a coach/coaches can do so much to teach, but he has got to be willing to give as well.I guess I look at it from the standpoint that he's not a freshman where the game is too fast for him. I would be cool with Milton (really no choice) if he had chucked it into the end zone or fought as hard as he could to run it into the end zone - yeah, he tried...
...but to step out of bounds? His heart isn't in it. Not cool with me.
Hard to argue with that.Milton might as well have carried his scholarship out of bounds with him with 0:00 left on the clock down by 5. I know a lot of fans feel this way. It was frustrating when he ran out of bounds like that. I wonder if CH is going to start him. Like I’ve said, I just have a feeling that he gets the nod Saturday. This is going to be a decision that he is really going to have to think about right up till kickoff. I wonder what is going through the coaches head with this right now? Where does he go with this? I’m sure he is aware of the fans by now with Milton. That makes it tough on him, because I think he is trying to do the right thing, and he is a quarterbacks coach. I'm sorry but I have to say that I agree with you. Hope I'm wrong. If he could be fixed, he'd already be fixed.
I have zero hope for a guy that has been playing football at the highest levels for as long as he has, and runs the ball out of bounds on the final play of the game with the clock at 0.00.
This is where I am. If he does play Saturday, I'll cheer him on, but I'm afraid he's a lost cause at this point. I hope he proves me wrong. If he could be fixed, he'd already be fixed.
