Lol...actually, if you really look at it. They're not doing shyt to us. It's all for show.
1. We're taking 250k out of the millions we be giving you at the end of the season
2. Pretend to try and find the people responsible
3. Write a book report on "fan behavior" before your next home game.
How huge is us getting the shaft on network and time slot for this game? We get the ESPN 7:00 slot and definitely have more angles of the calls. Would it have helped? Probably not, but worth considering.
I don't disagree, but the punishment should fit the crime - some of our own fans were hit with glass bottles. Not cool under any circumstances and those idiots who threw dangerous projectiles should not be allowed back in because they clearly don't have enough common sense to be allowed around groups of other human beings.
apparently, they have already arrested 17 kids. They will probably buckle down on the frats pregame.
I do not understand why they think taking the “we’re bad and we’re sorry” stance is good. Will we be the first team to receive sanctions in the history of NCAA for fans throwing things?
I know somebody hit by a glass bottle so while they may not "be allowed", they were there and thrown.
Not sure if this has already been posted. View attachment 404147
I think the main issue is that it stopped play and "put student athletes in danger." I don't like the fine at all but I think that's the general justificationDouble standards. Fining us $250k is an open-handed slap in the mouth. Our University should be extremely pissed off, in consideration.
First, I would not have made a statement in the immediate term. Second, my statement would have been measured and balanced. While we do not condone the actions of a very few of our dedicated Tennessee fans, we do understand the emotion that was created by numerous bad calls and feigned injuries. We will have more policing especially in the student section in the future to ensure this does not happen again. We will also be talking to the SEC about some of the officiating and hope to see some changes being made. Not being facetious, just curious. If you were the AD, what would you do?

"Breaking News here, the Tennessee Athletic Director, @BaldBiker is at the Southeastern Conference headquarters in Alabama ... [checks ear piece] throwing trash at the building?"I'd declare war and call for all true Tennessean to rise up in rebellion!
Probably why I'm not an AD though.![]()
