NASCAR conducted a thorough sweep of all the garage areas across the tracks where we race," he explained. "So across those 29 tracks, and 1,684 garage stalls, we found only 11 total that had a pull-down rope tied into a knot. And only one noose — the one discovered Sunday in Bubba Wallace’s garage."

It wasn't directed at him, but obvious connections were made and it was not a common place in the garage as only 1 in 1,684 were tied that way.
A lot of math (and FBI agents) to confirm that no one was a target.

That’s why i can never figure out Atlanta Vol….. he seems like a troll but several posters have met him and vouched for him….. he was all in to the gruden stuff as well.

Ya just have to remember one thing insiders are only as credible as their source. Jimmy Hyams was certain of the Brohm hire and he really did know folks in high places at that time.

Yes….. unfortunately
No, he wasn't. He never claimed anything. In fact, Bubba never saw the noose. The crew did. Bubba did ride the wave of support and there were some changes that came about from the incident. Can you say he milked it? Yes, you probably can say that.

One reason even if I did have friends in high places (and at one point I knew a guy pretty well informed) I never shared anything he told me.

Cause he's just one guy...and even if that one guy he knows is the AD himself think of all the channels the AD still has to go through to get a hire approved. It's hard to be "certain" of anything when money is involved if you're not the one in full control of said money.

NASCAR really played it up. Wallace got to take a few victory laps wearing a crown of thorns in races he didn’t win.

Gonna say the same thing that I said in debates/borderline fights for years.

AV had connections because he was a money guy. The problem of having money is people tell you what want to hear. Add that AV made his identity pretty obvious to anyone in the program, he was asking for misleading info. And he always believed what any friends shared.

I wished he had stopped because it was always going to end poorly, especially with the demands of accuracy from people. And I wanted him to stay and keep helping out veterans and people in need. That always meant more to me than early tidbits on whatever.
Such an unnecessary, yet predictable ending.

This. And when monet is involved certain things may be leaked on purpose. Ex, Schiano to get the fans pissed. Imo certain boosters let things out to try and put pressure on people so they can win.

I think he was legit. I think he Amex card stuff was legit too. I think there were players behind the scenes trying to make a play for a big name, but when it didn't happen things went South. We might be feeling positive about Heupel now, but for most he was an after thought, so he was a letdown when he was hired.
If you believed the “insiders” that gave hope for landing a coach that was never even considering us, then you were disappointed.. same thing that happened with the grudenites twice. They believed some ppl that were full of it, and it bit them

I believe we may have had people behind the scenes approach their agent. I'm not going to lie I got sucked in to Gruden the first time, the second no. I did believe we were in on Franklin but hoped it wasn't true.

I learned my lesson after the first gruden-mania on this board. The craziest stuff I’ve ever read on here… and I believed a lot of it. It gave some posters god-like status and blew a bunch of ppls head up, and they were lies.. crazy how some ppl get off on cat fishing fans. It’s a sickness

Will usce do the opposite of mizzou and actually stack the box and dare Hooker to throw? Why wouldn’t they?

I believed that AV was speaking with people in the know. I believe that he loves his university and that people told him we were putting all our chips on the table for the "big fish" (all but confirmed that it was Franklin, right?). I think that he loves UT so much that he didn't think there was any way that the big fish would turn us down with so much on the table. I bet we were pretty close, closer than we'll ever know. Or he's an optimist and was filling in a lot of unknowns with narratives that drove conversation and built his value among the fans. He wasn't on here every 5 minutes trying to get likes. He wasn't teasing or dangling a carrot for traffic to his site or podcast or Youtube channel, or Twitter account.

I think that we were close, and he was excited, he came here to celebrate with fans because it was all but done. And then pen never met paper and people treated him like he was a liar, and that was that.

Which time was it when Pennington tweeted that Gruden was at Calhoun’s? That was the only time it seemed real to me.

30-10 win this weekend. SCAR might be better defensively but they're Pruitt like on offense
Yeah I’m with you. They even struggled to score against everyone, even Troy and ECU. Our defense is good, our offense is clicking, so unless we absolutely shoot ourselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties it shouldn’t be close

Same story, different chapter… every single time, there is a AV

Oh at one point I was bought in for Gruden....that experience (the first time, the OG Grumors) soured me on taking anything shared here as more than just typical opinions.

I like Heupel and even if DW wasn't our AD had his name came up I wouldn't have been against it. Was he the best hire we could have made? Time will tell. I think he was the best hire that made the most since given where we were/are as a program.

I'll be interested to see what becomes of Tom Herman if he returns to HC in college.

No lies. I was told some huge news a month or so ago that could be happening, and nothing ever came of it. Things change

I can see that…… I don’t get why people chase around insiders or fake insiders…. I either trust I for or don’t…. If it’s someone that I don’t trust…. I just skip on by it….. I don’t feel the need to try calling them out on it.
