How was the turnout for you guys? More, less, the same as last year? We had 256 last year and 160 this year. Weather was perfect so I guess the virus kept a lot of people home. The kids and parents both got a kick out of the covid chute. My daughter got a few pics after it got dark.




If you look to the far right in the next pic you can see my shadow sitting on the porch manning the candy chute. Somebody has to do the tough work. The rest of the family got to sit around the fire pit in the front yard roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.

I'm sure the kids loved going to your house. We haven't given out candy in a couple years, but looking out the window last night it seemed like there were less kids. They were starting earlier last night though.

We had kids starting at 5pm in daylight. That prompted most of the rest of the neighborhood kids to start. Not a whole lot of activity overall.

I forgot about this thread. I posted some pics of a few of my new Halloween props in the "Things That I Have Built" forum but this is the more appropriate forum. So I'll add them here. I've got a scary clown and a female zombie that are new this year. They are both stationary props that will be out in the yard with a strobe light on them. I also built a zombie ground breaker. It's motorized and moves up and down like a zombie pushing up out of his grave. I've got a couple more new props this year I may post pics of later.

We’re doing the Covid version of trick-or-treat for our grandson in the backyard again, hiding treats in little pumpkin bags, like an Easter egg hunt.

Sigh.

I can’t wait for this sh!t to die down to a manageable level.
