Control Of House 2022

Correct me if I'm wrong but are they leading by 5 votes? If so, win 3 and Republicans have the House. Maybe the 5 we keep hearing is the number of victories needed. What about the congressional seats lost in blue states to red states because of mass exits?
It was 222-213 at the start of the session...think now its 220-212 with vacancies...read somewhere that redistricting was delayed because of pandemic and Census What Redistricting Looks Like In Every State

Good info. Either way the general consensus is they have a slim majority that will be gone easily. At this point I almost want to terrorize them for two years. The country has almost disintegrated and I don't think there is any going back unfortunately. They have almost done any and everything for power including destroying the country.

Iowa Dem Scrubs Left-Wing Views From Campaign Site To Kick Off Moderate Congressional Campaign

Christina Bohannan condemned voter ID laws, backed taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries

Democratic congressional candidate Christina Bohannan scrubbed her old campaign site—which called voter ID laws "a threat to democratic governance" and endorsed taxpayer-funded sex change surgeries—in an effort to bolster her moderate pitch to Iowa voters.

Bohannan, a state legislator, announced on Tuesday her bid to unseat Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R.), saying she decided to run "because she believes we need less bickering in Washington, and more working together." Prior to the announcement, she removed all policy positions from her 2020 campaign site—including sections that condemned Iowa's voter ID law and backed taxpayer funding for "gender confirmation surgery for transgender individuals."

The revelation threatens to undermine Bohannan's attempt to position herself as a moderate and to complicate Democrats' ability to flip a district that former president Donald Trump won in November by 4 points. Nearly 70 percent of Iowa voters, for example, expressed support for voter ID requirements after Republicans introduced their "Election Integrity Act" in 2017. According to Bohannan, however, the law is one of the "numerous threats to democracy in our state" and should be repealed.

You're surprised?

I remember when all those thousands of GOP officials across the country supported an individual mandate on health insurance ... until Obama supported it. Then the idea became the devil.

How Screwed Is Adam Kinzinger?

Former President Donald Trump would love to take down Adam Kinzinger, one of his chief House GOP antagonists, in next year's midterms. But Democrats might beat him to it.

Illinois lawmakers are on the verge of rolling out a new congressional map that will very likely gut Kinzinger’s exurban Chicago seat, according to several sources close to the redistricting process, leaving him with just a few bleak options for remaining in office next year.

The elimination of his district would force the veteran Republican congressman to choose between running in unfamiliar territory, possibly against another incumbent, or making a long shot run for governor or Senate in a blue state — and that assumes Kinzinger could prevail in a GOP primary after spending the last year criticizing a former president who remains beloved by the base.

How screwed is Adam Kinzinger?

Trump Endorses Republican To Run Against Rep. Liz Cheney In Wyoming

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday endorsed Wyoming attorney Harriet Hageman in her expected primary challenge against Republican Rep. Liz Cheney.

“Harriet is a fourth-generation daughter of Wyoming, a very successful attorney, and has the support and respect of a truly great U.S. Senator, Wyoming’s own Cynthia Lummis. Harriet Hageman adores the Great State of Wyoming, is strong on Crime and Borders, powerfully supports the Second Amendment, loves our Military and our Vets, and will fight for Election Integrity and Energy Independence (which [President Joe] Biden has already given up). Unlike RINO Liz Cheney, Harriet is all in for America First. Harriet has my Complete and Total Endorsement in replacing the Democrats number one provider of sound bites, Liz Cheney. Make America Great Again!”

If the Republicans take back both houses then.... "EMPEACH 46...."

I'm not sure if you are joking or not. I'm not trying to be a downer on a bit of fun, but I think that would be the worst option.

I joke about it now and then because I find it funny after what Trump went through. We got to stop this tug and pull of powers trying to one up the other side at some point. I know there will always be idea disputes from how we want this run from both sides, but It seems to have reached a all time high in the past 15+ years. My papaw used to say "If we act like them, what makes us any better". If we did remove him, next time the other side has control they just do it back. We can't run a country like that for very long. Moreover I really don't like Biden, but I really don't think we want his VP in charge. Sorry If it come off ranting at you, that's not my intention. I was just trying to add to the conversation.

DCCC raises $10 million amid Biden slide for best off-year August in history

The Democratic Party’s House majority is in jeopardy of ending in 2022 as President Joe Biden’s job approval ratings fall. But grassroots liberals have not given up hope, funneling $10 million to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in August.

The House Democratic campaign arm revealed Monday it enjoyed its best August fundraising ever for the year before the election, raking in more than $6.6 million in small contributions from 250,000 grassroots donors in August for a total haul of $10 million. This happened amid Biden’s sinking approval ratings on the heels of the much-criticized U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan. House Democrats are clinging to a five-seat majority, with Republicans positioned for a takeover.

Without drastic changes, Democrats are on track to lose big in 2022
BY DOUGLAS E. SCHOEN, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR

The marked decline in support for President Biden and his administration nationally and in key swing states indicates that the Democratic Party could endure a blowout defeat in the 2022 midterm elections.

Moreover, Biden is in a significantly weaker position now than both of his most recent Democratic predecessors - Bill Clinton and Barack Obama - at this point in their presidencies, which suggests that Democrats could suffer even more substantial losses in 2022 than the party did in 1994 and 2010.

Indeed, voters nationally and in seven key swing states disapprove, rather than approve, of the job Biden is doing by a margin of 7 points or greater, according to a Civiqs survey released last week.

Nationally, 50 percent of voters disapprove of the job Biden is doing as president, while just 42 percent approve.

If they don’t lose big then America has lost all hope. This will prove that America is too stupid to exist

Also, I will say this. The democrats are working hard to change the electorate. Add this and them trying to find sinister ways to change the rules they are showing animalistic behavior to keep power.
