I agree, but doesn't his response embody and just help perpetuate the social media-ness of it?
Gerald and a lot of former players are on Twitter….. our fans pick favorites and overreact to every single thing…. It ends up irritating our former players and they make comments….. Then our fans start attacking our own former players…. It’s a never ending cycle… They do have a point….. as a player….. they have spent their entire lives working on their craft…. Been injured, bloody, and bruised….. while fans just discuss and watch the game….

No bigger fans than VFLs. I got grief the other day for wearing my Georgia Southern gear the other day. My neighbor is always decked out in UT gear and his whole family.

I'm hoping that Milton was just trying to show off against this team last night and create some buzz for himself with his arm and that's why he was holding the ball and not throwing to open guys.

Well if that is the case, then the coach should bench him... He would be putting himself first, before the team... I'm old school.... I am in the camp of where I think you try Hooker until it doesn't make sense.

If Hyatt and others can't catch the long ball (when it is properly thrown), then we don't need Milton's arm strength... Just hear me out-- I know the sexy pick is Milton right now, but just think back to Dobbs and what he brought to games... I think Hooker can be Dobbs 2.0 to a degree...

If we are going fast paced and dinking and dunking 5-10-15yd passes, Hooker should be able to make those, plus he's got more game experience than the other two combined and can run his ass off... something to think about.

Swain agreed with me on his show today. We shouldn't have been running go routes with Tillman. That needs to be Hyatt, Peyton, or Velus. Tillman is the slowest receiver on the team. He's a jump ball guy. Why didn't we run those routes with the other guys?
Now now Bass… you can’t have dessert until you’ve had your veggies

my biggest concern with him is that he held the ball too long and missed guys that were open.

I'm rewatching the game right now, and he had a fantastic first quarter. Even on the final possession of the quarter he was on the money. Until the very last play. He held the ball and held the ball, Princeton Fant is wide open in the middle of the field, he never sees him, never looks at him, and eventually is sacked. That became the story for the rest of the game with him.

Can that be fixed? If so, he still has great potential.

Guys were running wide open all over the field at times. First offensive play seemed designed to go in the flat to Warren no matter what. Hyatt was 10 plus yards behind his guy for what should be an easy six if you can hit the broad side of a barn. I am not sure Milton can. Throwing the deep ball isn't just how far you can throw it but actually throwing it where the WR can catch it without coming back to it or over throwing him. Not sure Milton is going to be able to do it but he is definitely getting every opportunity. I can't believe the other QB's did not get a chance to play at least mid third quarter on.

With all due respect, I have played the position and I do not ever remember seeing a guy hold the ball as long as this dude did. BG is really a bad team so may have something to do with having so much time but it was weird to watch. Also, I defended Milton until I just couldn't any more. He did not have a good game by any means and you don't have to be a VFL to see it. Even a couch potato can see it. Now, for the idiots who get on Twitter and slam are players, Screw them regardless if they played the game or not.

Watched the second half again.... WR's running open... Lets see if Heip can sit down with Milton in the QB room this week and go over tape, correcting these miss-reads.. it will be very telling what we see in the Pitt game.

FACTS--- if we see Milton flat-footed again, waiting too long, missing open WR's, we will know one of two things--- either the coaches once again are not able to develop players, or Milton is not taking instruction and needs to sit and let another QB prove himself.
