The coaches absolutely disagree with your prejudice opinion, but you are more than welcome to think wrongly if you likeYa I agree, the drops on long passes last night were because Milton lacks touch. But he does lack touch, and in other short pass situations, it's going to get us in trouble if he doesn't fix it.
There are what ifs every single game, both good and bad. Milton did not play well. He needs to improve. And, many people are screaming for a new QB already, LOL.What if that pass to the flat was picked off and returned for a TD, which it would have been in a SEC game? What if Tillman doesn’t go over the DB to make a spectacular catch and that ball is intercepted like it should have been? If those outcomes changed, we would be screaming for a new QB today.
I think he has always wanted Milton because he can laserbeam those deep outs to those super wide splits..Bailey has a good arm, but Milton's is spectacular. So you think Bailey is secretly doing the best in practice but Heupel is sabotaging himself and playing Milton out of misguided stubbornness?
Sure, that makes sense.
If Milton is another JG, a practice warrior that fades when the lights come on, then I'm sure Heupel will see it and make a change. But in no way do I believe Heup is favoring Milton if someone else is actually doing better in practice. I think Heupel is more intelligent than Pruitt, especially when it comes to QBs.
I hope all of our QBs succeed and will ride with whichever one this staff decides to run out on that field, but I think some already have a love affair with Bailey and seem to be hoping everyone in front of him fails so he'll have a chance to get out there and prove them right.
If the fans know more than the coaches, then we still don't have the right coaches.
Cam Newton’s his favorite player. One thing I think is concerning about Milton asides from the lack of touch and a clock in his head...I may be nitpicking here, but I don’t like the Superman poses and the cutting up on the sideline. I don’t envision the other two acting like that. A fourth year QB needs to act a little more professional imo. I’m not anti-celebration, but go pat the OL on the head...less look at me.
I think coaches are human f'n beings that make mistakes, the good ones just learn quickly and move on. Heupel has lusted for Miltons abilities for years and thinks he can "fix" him...he wouldn't be the first good coach waylaid by hubris. That being said, I don't think he will put up with that crappy play for long...So Heupel made that mistake before and didn't learn from it? Is that what you're saying?
What I hate on MBs is when we think we know more than the coaches. Like I said, if that's actually the case, if we know more than the coaches, then we obviously don't have the right coaches.
As far as Milton goes, if he can't get it done in games, I trust that Heup will give someone else a chance until he finds something that works. I'm just tired of the narrative that Bailey didn't get a fair shake. If that's true, then again, we STILL have the wrong coaches. Considering Heup is probably guaranteed the next 4-5 years, I hope and pray that's not the case.
I think it is the deep outs that would have to be curtailed, and I understand why those are hard for Heupel to curtail.I said 5-8 wins based on QB play and injuries. Was disappointed in Milton. Not so much how he didn’t look comfortable or connect on long passes because that takes time, and he didn’t have spring practice. It was more the simple throws over the middle. Guess I was hoping for that after JG. I think HH and HB could do that better, but you would have to give up the long balls. Glad CJH is not giving up on Milton after one game though. And I am sure the other two will continue to be developed and prepared in case he does not improve.
UCF scored 34 in that game..if that was Pitts recipe, it was a bad one. They won because UCFs defense gave up 35...plus wasn't that game early in the year when the QB situation was still unsettled before Gabriel came on?I don’t think anyone is saying Pittsburgh is great, but they’re the ‘85 Bears compared to that Bowling Green team. They have actually D1 linemen on both sides of the ball.
This right here also causes a lot of consternation for me:

There is no doubt that UCF team in 2019 was better than this current UT team. Pitt knows the recipe for this offense and knows how to beat it.
Lol at using the spring game for proof of being better…. Some of our fans are legitimately crazyI think coaches are human f'n beings that make mistakes, tbe good ones just learn quickly and move in. Heupel has lusted for Miltons abilities for years and thinks he can "fix" him...ge wouldn't be the first good coach waylaid by hubris. That being said, I don't think he will put up with that crappy play for long...
Whatever you think about Bailey, I know this fir a fact...he was seeing, and hitting those wide open inside routes in tbe Spring...period...the same ones blind boy was not seeing all night last night except for tbe two he threw to Hyatt that were dropped.
