Death is a lagging indicator. Unfortunately we’ll have more in 2 weeks. I personally know 3 under 30 who have died in the last 3 weeks. One was a very healthy althelete. All unvaccinated unfortunately. I hate masks as well, but it’s life we’re talking about here.Government tracks the stat that promotes their agenda. They are more interested in "cases" now than "deaths"....

Anybody with any sense knows that. From the article: “Others would say that deaths are a 'lagging indicator' that come in several weeks after the increased spread of the disease. But the Delta variant has been spreading in the US for months now, and deaths have remained relatively flat, in part due to widespread vaccination."
"It is striking that COVID mortality is at such low levels despite the fact that we are seeing an increase in cases of late,” Stanford Professor of Medicine Dr. Jay Bhattacharya tells FEE. “By immunizing the elderly and many other vulnerable people, we have provided them with excellent protection against severe disease in case they get infected. Also contributing is widespread natural immunity from recovered COVID patients. Though cases may rise, deaths will no longer follow in proportion. We have effectively defanged the disease with our successful vaccination rollout.”
delta was a very small portion of cases- it just became the dominant strain very recently. Regardless, the actual numbers have deaths going up daily. From the article: “Others would say that deaths are a 'lagging indicator' that come in several weeks after the increased spread of the disease. People are scared man. That's why you try to point out reality. Here is the data. It's not coming from some strange source that can't be trusted. Here it is. Cases have risen, but deaths have not. It cannot be disputed. And yet people will ignore that and pay attention to cases of which many are asymptomatic, because of what we've dealt with for a year now. That's why I posted it. Read that, get vaccinated if you want and protect yourself, and then relax.Anybody with any sense knows that.
In the county I work a large percentage of the deaths were from two nursing homes that covid swept through last year. Since then the remainder of residents that had not been infected got vaxxed...deaths are non-existent at this point in that county and the county I live in.People are scared man. I literally just posted today’s numbers. They are up 49% over the last 14 days. These are bell curves they start rising slowly and then skyrocket.
Yes, thankfully the vaccine has worked great, and so has natural immunity. Get those elderly who want it vaxxed, and anyone else who wants it can get vaxed, and we've effectively ended this. Cases come, but deaths remain low. Who cares about cases? There's no such thing as ridding ourselves of cases. In the county I work a large percentage of the deaths were from two nursing homes that covid swept through last year. Make sure you post the graph when death tallies are anywhere near where they were at their high points on that graph I just posted. I'll wait anxiously.I literally just posted today’s numbers. They are up 49% over the last 14 days. These are bell curves they start rising slowly and then skyrocket.
I feel like we had these same talks last year.
Why argue about it. In 3 weeks we can come back here and see what the numbers look like- sadly, the very clear data points to a rise in deaths as has been trending for the last week or so to follow the rise in cases.
Cases are a small problem....it's hospitalizations that are becoming the main problem. Hospitals that are dealing with OTHER health issues and dealing with major staffing problems.Yes, thankfully the vaccine has worked great, and so has natural immunity. One thing to consider about the vaccine is it is a "non-sterile" vaccine, like the flu vaccine. This mean it is less resistant to newer variants. If deaths and hospitalizations rise to levels they were at the peak of this thing, then the vaccine clearly isn't working. We are at over 70% vaxed as a nation, at least with the first shot. So if those numbers rise, then clearly these vaccines are not doing their job and neither is natural immunity.
But thankfully, both are working.
Exactly. And as the earlier article I linked earlier states, while the new variant may be contagious, it is nowhere near as deadly. Deaths are at their lowest rate since March of 2020. Stop living in fearOne thing to consider about the vaccine is it is a "non-sterile" vaccine, like the flu vaccine. This mean it is less resistant to newer variants.
COVID is here to stay and no one, especially the government, is going to change that. The sooner folks get used to that, adapt to it and move on with their lives, the better.
DO NOT let yourself be controlled by "panic porn"....
