But if it doesn’t stop you from getting the original virus and doesn’t stop the delta, what’s the point? Oh, and it’ll never be at 0. If the goal is 0, that will be unreachable

It stops the original at better than 90%. It stops Delta at nearly that, but statistically less. It reduces mortality to effectively zero in all variants. If you can't see the value in that I don't know what to tell you. But this attitude is really disrespectful to the large number of people that have lost family members to this. I expect better of a brother in Christ.

We have mixed politics in, well mostly my wifes side. Her aunt is a pharmacist, who helps prep the MRNA vax. We do not see eye to eye politically, but, she's military and has a very logical brain. It's black and white. She's a walking encyclopedia of research on it.

I would encourage anyone to speak with a Pharamacist or Doc. The research is solid. Bear in mind Cov 1 was prepped for solid decade.

How anyone “feels” is irrelevant. How anyone continues to ignore the data that areas more highly vaccinated have lower number of serious cases whereas areas that have a low vaccinated rate are experiencing higher serious cases. You ARE safer if the vast majority of the folks you encounter have been vaccinated. Now if you’re overly worried about the vaccines not being safe then take the more traditional J&J option. If you’re a woman of child bearing ages then maybe you want to wait a bit longer for more data but I just can’t understand it for any other adults. JMO

What attitude are you talking about? We were talking about media members and football players. Why should media members be forced to get vaxxed if the players and others already have it? If the vax stops the virus and the delta, then nobody should be worried about it. Those who want the vax can get it and be safe if the vax works as good as you say. those who don’t want it then should not have to. And if it doesn’t stop it, again then there isn’t much point

Also, it is extremely dangerous to couch discussion regarding a vaccine into behaving like a Christian. Such an attitude is not only absurd, but also legalistic. Where does it stop? They already want you to get 2, and are now talking about 3. What if it becomes 10? If I don’t take 10 shots I’m not behaving like a brother in Christ? What are you talking about?

You know that “working” does not mean “ everyone who takes this shot will never contract the virus”. “Working” means “taking this shot will greatly reduce your odds of contracting this virus and if you do get it, it’s even more unlikely you will get seriously ill and die”. It’s working as promised!

I guess we aren't talking about the same thing. If you are only talking about the ND media, then fine. But my perception (possibly incorrect) is that you are generally questioning the value of a vaccine that could have saved over 500k Americans, and I consider the continual denigration of that effort to be disrespectful to the families of people who could have been saved by by it. If that isn't what you are doing, then please forgive the inference.

We were having a conversation about people being forced to take a vaccine. I’m personally not taking the vaccine, at least not yet. But I don’t mock anyone for taking it, and I think everyone should be free to do what they want.

But this is an example of how dangerous this is. You publicly shamed and rebuked me and brought in the name of Christ over this, and you didn’t even understand what I was saying. At least 4 people saw that and liked it as of this post, meaning that they agreed with your misrepresentation of me I guess. And so now you have called into question publicly my walk with Christ and harmed my reputation in a public forum. And I am someone who tries to use this board for gospel ministry when the opportunity presents itself, and you have now hindered that.

I bring that up only because it represents the dangers of bringing in something outside of the gospel and making it an issue that relates to our relationship with Christ. It’s a difference of opinion, if we even have one, over a vaccine. It is not gospel related. It’s actually opposed to the gospel and opposed to Christian charity, the very thing you accused me of wrongly.

But of course, you are forgiven. But we have to separate our feelings for such secular things as this from being a test of one’s walk with Christ.

Martyr much? If God's called you to minister in this medium, there is nothing that I or anyone else could do to stop that, intentional or otherwise.

As for this particular discussion, my (incorrect) understanding what you were saying was informed by all the things you've said over the last 18 months. Take that however you will. Regardless, I'm sorry, and I mean that.

Los Angeles is on the verge of reinstating their mask mandate due to the recent spike in new cases. We’re going to be social distanced and masked again if folks don’t pull their heads out of the sand and get vaccinated. If you haven’t yet gotten your shots, then you are the problem. Please look at the real data and quit listening to the conspiracy folks. This virus will continue to mutate if it continues to spread amongst unvaccinated people until there is a new variant that isn’t affected by the current vaccines, then the entire world will have to start over with a new vaccine. Are your worries that there could, maybe, just possibly be some problem that still hasn’t been discovered with the vaccines worth the risks you are bringing on everyone else?

Well, the trend is definitely going the wrong way. Even Florida is back reporting numbers again. Thankfully, Tennessee is really low right now. Got a ways to go before getting genuinely significant. Kingsport Fun Fest is going, starts basically today.

I meet with some guys in the UK every two weeks and we always talk about it. I've been really surprised at how hard they have struggled, especially now; they blowing through 40,000 cases a day with a 68 million population. They are starting to rival their peak infection rate back in January.

Get vaccinated folks or this is gonna drag on another 4 years and fan attendance might be reduced this season too. It’s trending in the wrong direction right now.

I had a trip to London booked for September 10. Cancelled it earlier this week.

My mother in law got the Moderna vaccine. 2 weeks later she's diagnosed with a irregular heartbeat. Her doctor won't give her a straight answer if the vac is the cause
