—until you get highlights yourself, you’ll never know what a long, involved process this is. At least they don’t do the shower cap with holes/crochet hook method any more. Ouchies.

I’m really tender-scalped. I had to keep a box of Kleenex on my lap through the whole thing, wiping my eyes and honking my nose throughout.

And mid teens. The last time I put peroxide in my hair was at a wedding on the Oregon coast 20 years ago. I was a little old to be doing that, but why not.

My youngest (base hair color of blah brown) dumped an entire bottle of Sun In on her hair when she was about 11. The results were, well, startling.

I would use an entire bottle. Sometimes my hair turned a shade of Orange.

Also fun if you also went to chlorinated pools. After a while, your hair would turn green.

(Then break and fall off, but that’s a different convo.)

My son, during the horrible years of finding yourself, decided to color his hair from blonde to black would be a great idea. It was during the time going grunge was popular . When I got home from work, it looked like a blood bath of black in my bathroom. Yes, he chose my bathroom instead of his own. I didn’t say anything because I knew this was a standoff. His father had been gone for a couple of months, I was working two jobs, going to school at night and knew that I had to just let stuff be and pick my battles. Lord, those were some tough years.

I wished it was my Friday. Working through until Tuesday, then I’m taking a few days off to spend with baby. I did finally find out where in Texas I’m going for my job. It’s Eagle Flats, made me think of Bucksnort, Tn. Still don’t have the date on when I’m going. Baby coming early put a halt on it. How have you and Kevin been doing?
