I would argue a party that had a couple of openly socialist representatives 10 years ago who now have somewhere between a half dozen to a dozen is a significant jump. I don't see significant pushback from their counterparts to marginalize them.Well I'm not a Democrat, but I know the party as a whole has not veered sharply socialist. Does the GOP have some outliers? Well, the Democratic party does as well. If they mattered at all, they would have not lost the ENTIRE STATE OF MICHIGAN in the primaries.
Both Pete and President Biden have said no mileage tax will be included in the bill. Multiple times. There will be no mileage tax in the bill. The fact that you don't recognize the hard left turn of the socialist party.
And your boy is gonna be a disaster as SecTrans. His proposal of taxing miles is a socialist control idea
Yep, there are some socialists in the Democratic party. Are you going to admit that there are some Fascists in the GOP?I would argue a party that had a couple of openly socialist representatives 10 years ago who now have somewhere between a half dozen to a dozen is a significant jump. I believe the move left comes at the twilight of society. There are many examples in ancient civilization, America is just an example in fast forward because there were no real authoritarian restraints to stifle it.I've always believed that there is a natural, inevitable, and appropriate movement left in society. The two parties are frantically rowing in opposite directions as the current moves the boat leftward, all that the rowing accomplishes is a tiny and temporary increase or decrease in the speed of that movement.
I disagree. Here's why. While both parties are drifting left over time, there isn't some lurch to the extreme left in the D party. The squad folks are simply touted by both the liberal and conservative media. The radicals get a disproportionate amount of coverage. The consumers of that media gradually get confirmation bias those folks are taking over.
We've been partially socialist since the beginning. It's always only been a matter of the ratio.
I haven't. And I am only going to hear about them on VN. I looked at his campaign platform as a candidate but that's it.Have you seen Biden's policy positions lately? His VP is considered more left than Warren.
In a car it would be considered out of alignment. But of course there are always the lazy who continue to drive even though the person behind them can see all 4 tires clearly. They also never understand why they buy new tires every yearI've always believed that there is a natural, inevitable, and appropriate movement left in society. The two parties are frantically rowing in opposite directions as the current moves the boat leftward, all that the rowing accomplishes is a tiny and temporary increase or decrease in the speed of that movement.
