Did we pay Schiano anything?
Zackly! And EVERY brilliant legal mind on VN and VQ declared $20 mil was the floor in paying him off! The refrain I keep reading is we’ll pay Pruitt off to keep him from revealing ALL that was going on. So he wants to pile up on his eventual show cause? In a civil case you WILL be cross examined. Schiano wanted no part of that and Pruitt’s lawyer’s saber rattling aside...neither does Pruitt. Worst case we add a lost official visit to our tally and maybe not even that with us as the cooperating party. “Oh we didn’t know he did that! Add it to the list. You beginning to understand what “for cause” we fired him over?”

Why does Pruitt care about a showcase...... just like all other coaches..... he will coach in the nfl till it goes away.

All those buyouts people don't think we pay... guess what? UT handles it behind the scenes and keeps it quiet with NDAs. It's all posturing. First comes a call from a very good attorney, then a demand letter, then they negotiate.

UT has been paying off fired, outraged people for a decade. Hart left a lot of them in his wake. The trend continues.
Has Pruitt been paid anything to go away? Or, will Pruitt be paid anything? And if yes to either of those, how much?

Ima need to borrow your phone again soon.

UT could have kept HW for fundraising, recruiting and donor/community relations, as well. Those were her strengths-- not HCing. If UT would capitalize on people's strengths instead of trying to hammer square pegs in a round hole, everyone would benefit.
Do you really think keeping them was ever an option? And I mean from Fulmer and HW's perspective. Do you think they actually take the embarrassment of the demotion/reduced roll?

My goal is to land a lucrative role I suck at and get seven figures to leave because someone didn’t vet me properly. I’m not saying this because of anything posted in the last two pages, but because I truly feel it’s one of the craziest and ridiculous things that occurs in our world today.

We are impatient, so we will probably be having a head football coaching search in a few years. Stick around and throw your name in the hat.

That is the one I have been pushing. But he is antisocial and totally self-reliant. Only thing he has not been able to conquer on his own. Been waiting on him to get desperate enough to work with others to try that. That's why the one Nick shared seemed like it might work.
If he went, just for a short time, he would be blown away by how many people were just like him. Usually, alcoholism is the outward indicator of another issue. Takes a real man to face and accept his fears and failures and work for a better life for himself and loved ones.
