I think the UF coach got fired over falsely saying he received similar threats then couldn't back it up. When did JG provide any proof of these death threats? Did he even file a police report? When was the investigation and what was the result? Why didn't they track down whoever threatened him and charge them?
I'm not saying it didn't happen, but if it did it should be reported to police and investigated every time.
I'm saying..... once and for all...... you're full of crap for insinuating you know you're an insider who knows anything. So basically you’re saying if YOU had info about the investigation YOU would blast it on a message board? But I’m the prick for respecting the fact that it’s ongoing? Bottom line is it’s none of your business nor is it mine to share.
GTFO. If you HAVE info and you're still around these boards...... you're a prick.... but I'm calling you out as a poser.
Why the hell.... say ****..... if you know anything? Yeah, you know nothing or less than nothing and need to feel important. You know nothing, less than nothing.
I didn't say anything about us having an ugly pot, rather ITT I said the death threat thing was a past issue, to the extent it happened:So are you JG, HT, HT’s cousin, or HT’s dad?
I’m not stirring the pot. But I’m tired of people talking about what an ugly pot we have.
I don’t see that as taking his side. I see it as him saying we don’t have a clue on how bad it was.
WAS. Assuming your interpretation is correct, what good does it do Maurer to beat that dead horse? Beldar is gone. Not retweeting attacks against your team and fans by family of players who have bailed on your team seems like a no brainer, like not pouring fire ants in your underwear.
He said “was” happening, I assume he meant under Pruitt’s regime.
Unfortunately, Henry T’s cousin is absolutely right. Our fan base should have never been attacking JG, that wasn’t helping. I can’t imagine the logic behind “You know what will fix this problem with JG’s struggles? A good ole death threat”
Exactly. Instead of defending those fans and attacking the kid, we should be condemning those fans. They’re the problem. And it’s not just one or two.
We are talking about individual members who comprise a small faction of the fan base, who don't speak for the Tennessee fan base as a whole. Every fan base has their lunatic fringe. Alabama definitely has their fair share of idiots too. Phil Fulmer received death threats from Alabama fans for several years after it was revealed that he had cooperated with an NCAA investigation into the Albert Means recruitment - but I don't consider the Alabama fans who were responsible for that to be representative of the Alabama fan base as a whole. He said “was” happening, I assume he meant under Pruitt’s regime.

You have to be pretty naive to think this stuff doesn't happen at the other SEC programs (other than maybe Vanderbilt). No excuse for it, but it's no different in Tuscaloosa, Athens, Gainesville, Auburn, or anywhere else.
Bingo. I guess the cousin doesnt know Janice either. They better make sure they keep the radio turned off, if this season doesnt go like last year. I dont think he understands that 10 wins there is unacceptable. I think HT starts bc Bama is actually thin at ILB. It was all over their spring articles. If he plays bad a against Auburn or TN they will find out quick how ruthless the Tide fans can be.Anyone actually sending a threat of death would be investigated. Someone saying that they wish JG would die to get him off the field, or so that Pruitt couldn't play him is just an idiot who needs a life.
The point, about Updyke, and others, is that Tennessee doesn't have the market cornered on a very miniscule percentage of their fan base that say stupid and ignorant things. HTT could have used that same excuse to come here if he had went to Alabama first and been responsible for missing a tackle that let Auburn win the Iron Bowl, I'm sure when Auburn wins that game, the Alabama idiots come out in force. Tennessee's just been in a bad spot for so long that those same idiots here ate active every day.
