I think I've explained the problem thoroughly. The company in charge of the audit, Cyber Ninjas Inc., has a major conflict of interest here. Their owner, Doug Logan, has a vested personal interest in the outcome of this "audit". He has already posted his own conclusions on the website of a Trump attorney, Sidney Powell. There is no way he can be reasonably viewed as being an objective or impartial arbiter of the voting count. However, that won't stop right-wing media from running with the conclusions reached from their audit as being indisputable facts. This is such a farce.

Like I said nothing would happen even if something legit was found. So like I said, who cares? Who cares what right wing media says? Do you actually listen to that crap?

As long as the auditors don't release voter information, what's the concern? Besides, has anybody looked into the computer systems with internal modems to see what they might have been pumping out? A real audit should be going through the code line by line and looking into the hardware itself.

We'd actually have to know what exactly it is that they are doing to make that decision - something like a test plan complete with scope and step by step procedures to see what aspects are covered and which aren't I haven't seen anything in recounts or in "certification" of voting machines that would really pass muster - but there is plenty of bluster.

I have said that Democrats should have just let the January 6th riot incitement go, since he had already left office. It wasn't "unfounded" in terms of the facts, however. Trump does bear some responsibility for that riot. He misled his supporters into believing that he still had a chance to overturn the results of the election that afternoon, when in reality, the events taking place in the Capitol on 1/6 were mere formalities and he no longer had a path to victory.

It's not about this election; this is about elections down the road. As you say this one is in the books, it's not going to change. I've worked a few nuclear plant issues in which our testing uncovered a problem that existed since day one - this despite all the certifications and pre-operational and post-operational tests - and the fact that the system or component appeared to have worked as designed for a period of years. It happens with complex operations, and in almost every case there was no intention of wrongdoing. Simple benign example - write a long technical paper, correct the errors, and I'll assure you there will still be another.

Look at the VW diesel emissions software scandal; it completely passed muster, tons of cars were sold, and the software was rigged - nobody caught it. The cars worked seemingly correctly, but they weren't. It took an after the fact hard look at the system and software when somebody caught on and called BS. You better believe the certification process is covering that particular base for next time.

Wasn't even referencing that. I was speaking of Russia collusion and that whole mess. Straight through to the Ukraine stuff.

That wasn't unfounded either. The facts show that Trump withheld aid to the Ukraine in order to pressure their president (Zelensky) into announcing an investigation into the Bidens... which basically amounted to being a campaign favor for his re-election bid. But that has been discussed ad nauseam. I'm not rehashing that again.

So is it unfounded to call for an in depth investigation of Hunter Biden and his shady business dealings while his dad was VP?

And I disagree with your summary btw. Trump should have been censured. The whole impeachment, really both impeachments, were petty political moves with little to no merit. The guy was an ass? So what? The frenzied butt hurt expressed by the left while he was in office was unlike anything I've seen before.

You left out an essential component of Donald Trump's scheme:

It was wrong for Trump to withhold Congressionally-authorized military aid to the Ukraine, so he could use it as leverage against Ukrainian President Zelensky's willingness to make an appearance on CNN near the end of August in 2019, and announce that he was opening an investigation into the Bidens - at a time when Joe Biden was the clear front runner for the 2020 Democratic Party nomination for President.

Such conduct should not be allowed to stand as a precedent for future presidents to follow. There is just no way that Republicans in Congress would approve of a Democrat doing the exact same thing.

But once again, this was discussed enough on here in 2019... I don't really want to bring it up again. It's been beaten into the ground.

How do you not remember? Basically every other expert out there was even saying Fauci’s 18 months (notice that’s the back end of what Fauci said) was unlikely. Don’t be lazy. They’re out there and easy to find. Happy hunting.
