That’s what Hillbilly pines for...never happened. One magical season and we had Hillbillies bitching seconds after that victory. You didn’t hear the “very great” part...unless you were saying it in a vacuum.Who the he-ll said we were Bama dynasty it was a decade or little more of very great Tennessee football modern times.. so there’s that
While I agree with the overall of what you're saying, b, and UF were superior...but, from 93-01, we were one of the top 4 programs in the country. 91-20 overall in those years. There’s this myth that we were a 10 win guaranteed season every season and landed a top 5 class every offseason from the Sugar Vols on...it’s a GOOD myth! There were ups and downs and we flourished at Bama’s downs...but Spurrier’s Gators were superior on an annual basis. Majors was our superstar hire. Hillbilly has a faulty narrative.
Watch the hillbilly talk, I know some and family.. they know where bodies can never be found again...That’s what Hillbilly pines for...never happened. And those 20 losses were gloomed over much more than the victories were celebrated. Bama even slipped in a NC and until Manning’s second season they had our number. Florida State, Miami, Florida and Nebraska would quibble with the top 4 thing. While I agree with the overall of what you're saying, b, and UF were superior...but, from 93-01, we were one of the top 4 programs in the country. 91-20 overall in those years.
I thought he was ours. I KNOW that no one else but him and his inner circle KNEW differently. Were there really some of you in here who thought he wasn't committing to Bama today? I say this not because I'm mad and think we'll never be good again. I say it because it's just another stain from the Pruitt regime that it's best to move on from. I'm not saying he will be better, but I am very ready to pursue Sam Horn and will welcome him with open arms if he commits.

Well, now you can count on half or more of the fine folks in Martin, wearing crimson next season.I can tell you the area where he lives is every bit as much Vols fans as Knoxville. Most everyone in rural NW Tennessee grows up rabid Big Orange fans. This is definitely not a popular decision in and around the Martin area.
