Yep.

We'll be seeing much less from insiders under this regime. DW is serious about information getting out, apparently. And after hearing his explanation on 104.5, I get it.

Kinda sucks for us but...I get it.

I personally love it. Kills me how butthurt some have been over this.

Edit: I heard the same interview on 104.5, and his reasons are VERY professional. That will pay off in the long run I'm betting.

I want to thank Volnation for your prayers and well wishes. Maddie had surgery today. There was more issues that initially thought. She had 2 holes in her heart, her heart was enlarged, extra muscle had to be removed and an artery had to be repaired. She pulled through and her surgeon is optimistic. She will be in the hospital for at least 10 days with tubes and a pacemaker.

This is Madelyn Grace. Thank you again for all of your support.

Prayers for her and your family. Kids should not have to go through stuff like this. Keep the faith and stay strong.

I guess my question would be: what are we not hearing?

You all assume we don't know who the DC is because there are no leaks. I would argue we don't know who the DC is because one hasn't been hired yet.

I was spoiled. I started watching as a kid when Andy Kelly was qb, and got to watch the rise to the top as a teenager.
Same here. We only had 4 channels and games weren't on then like now. I recall the Auburn 17-17 tie on tv and Notre Dame in Knoxville with Kelly that we lost. I remember dad watching the cotton bowl against Arkansas. My first memory of actually intently watching a game was the Sugar Bowl against Virginia. I was 11 I think. Great memories growing up.

As a 56 year old I remember the 80s and how we kept getting better to get to the 90s. Being underdogs with all those great WRs. Always had a chance to win. We kept getting better then we got Peyton and others followed
I hope that is what's about to happen again. Once the higher ranking kids see what it looks like when UT is winning there will be more of them wanting to come here.

There are no shortcuts...the climb back from the 70s was long and arduous...with many starts and stops.

From this point forward, we should just refer to our AD as "The Plumber". I agree with you though because someone needed to fix all this stuff. I do think this move will just fuel more rumors because in the absence of information, people just make stuff up. Gonna be interesting.

Not everyone feels the need to assume one way or another. Or the need to assume that even if a hire hasn't been made yet, that it means anything negative. Why does an assumption always need to be made? There is absolutely no benefit to it other than adding pages to a message board.

I think it's funny he takes so much pride in never having leaks. He was at Buffalo (no one cared) and UCF (very few cared until Frost and still it's nothing like what the fanbase at Tennessee is). Being at a place like Tennessee is much different than what he is use to.

Also not sure if discussed, but if the plan is to announce ALL the hires Monday at the same time the delay could be with any of the unknown positions still available. Doesn't necessarily mean it's the DC spot we've not hired yet, could be the DC hasn't had a chance to reach out to his positional guys just yet because he's still coaching.

Thats Great news that she is doing well. We had a special needs child and spent many months in and out of hospitals, it is amazing how resilient they are and how fast their little bodies can recover. I will continue to keep her in my prayers. God is in Control!

Just wondering been in the ministry for a long time. Several years ago went to Virginia Beach to Start Celebration Baptist Church. Before then was an Evangelist for over 20 years and do a lot of interim work for Churches in transition. Live in Chattanooga where I was born and raised.

How great! So glad to hear it. I'm also in the baptist variety of the Kingdom. Thankful for folks like you who are the tip of the spear and give churches someone to take the helm when leadership transitions.

I'm an East TN transplant. My bride was born & raised Oak Ridge. We met in college in Birmingham. Ministry has taken us through Bammer, Texas, Virginia, and Kentucky. We've tried to keep it near the SEC. (JK, sort of)

Once I married a gal w/ orange in the blood, I was infected. Couldn't shake it. I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could!
