Really good strategy for them. Jake spavital has been doing a great job there. They had some really entertaining games this year. They know they can't sign big time HS kids but they can get really talented players that didn't work out at their first stop through transfer. I think a lot more small programs will start doing this more.

I don't know how you define BBW...I don't really have a "type" necessarily, some celebs I find attractive because of more than their looks especially with musicians. But Faith Hill was mentioned earlier and I always thought she was too thin, still a gorgeous woman though just not one I'd put high on a "hot" list personally.

Let CJH take his time and hire a DC and staff that he thinks will work and hopefully be around 3-4 years and not replacing half every year.

my response was about his obsession to “track down leaks” and the silly text your buddy Thing.
it was not about the timing of acquiring or naming coaching assistants. I’ve never criticized that.

Hadn’t told his team yet and was on the road recruiting when Jimmy BROKE everything. Ticked him off, Purdue found some money and no legit choice afterwards.

So Heupel’s search continues, but per sources, Tennessee is believed to be eyeing a hiring timeline “before the end of the weekend.”
One factor delaying the search, though, is UCF’s search for a new AD. That person will ultimately hire a new head coach. Whether any defensive coaches from Heupel’s UCF staff ultimately are hired at Tennessee remains to be seen; but Heupel is hopeful UCF can hire a new head coach quickly and all from his previous staff wind up in a good spot.

Don't get me wrong, I like that these guys are loyal. But I'm pretty fed up with "I don't want to hurt anyone at UCF" at this point. This is the major leagues. Make the hires and move on.

I wouldn't call it an obsession, he mentioned once and since the local media always ask/brings it up when he mentions it again.

He also mentioned the text your buddy thing, it's been poked fun at and he's reference again. Dude has a sense of humor and is willing to lean into the jokes at his own expense. I'd love to work for that kind of AD/Boss, he has a fantastic personality.

I live in Nashville and you see all these singers out and about on occasion when they are not all dolled up and stage ready and no I have not seen them all but I have seen these three and they are all just as pretty when they go out as they are on stage so with that being said on this one particular day Faith Hill truly was something to see. She was just out grocery shopping and ....WOW, not all decked out, just like any lady in a grocery store.

i get that. however, i don't blame him for taking a little time here. regardless of the UCF deal, i think being a little prudent probably helps avoid what Shane Beamer and Butch Jones went thru with hiring assistants....2 or 3 times w/in a matter of a few days for the same position................. anyway, it doesn't matter, @HankHill says we're good. so blame him if you don't like the hire(s) or how it has been handled. :cool:
