No need in spinning it any way. With pending sanctions, we did what we could.

At this time, we are not looked at as a desirable place to coach. We are Toxic. Period. That’s the cold hard truth. If anyone sees it any other way you are delusional.

No amount of money is gonna change that.

Now, who’s to say we didn’t hire a good coach that can weather the storm, and put some points on the board?? We have two good kids at QB that will be coached up by one on the best QB coaches in the country.

If he brings in a good staff, who knows what will happen. Maybe he sets the world on fire and maybe he falls on his face. Time will tell. But stats prove he knows offense.

No need in being down and pouting about it, it is what it is. We tried and with how the culture and with the looming sanctions overhead, coaches won’t touch us.

So really you need to point the distain towards Pruitt, and this is what we got in return.
Thanks for the info. I will support him because he was willing to take on the challenges that everyone else was scared to take and believes that he can get the job done regardless of the circumstances.

if i'm anyone associated with the UTAD....today is a day i take a break from my phone, lap top, tablets etc.....judging by what i've seen in the 20 minutes iv been awake, clearly not enough people have enough text buddies....lol.

as for me, siap last night....i don't hate this hire. and i think it can work given a few things on the staff etc....

but the thing that gives me the sads, the most, is that we wound up here. our program is in a bad spot, perception wise, we have the NCAA hanging out again, brand new leadership at every level....and i bet on some level Danny White is walking around like "what the hell?"

so even with the money being tossed around, it's a huge gamble to take this job.....it has been for a long time, it still is today, and at some point there has to be a reconciliation with the reality of what this program is vs what it was vs., (most importantly) what we think it is.....

for 15 years we've watched this thing deteriorate in to this....we just don't "go get" anyone now.

anyway, i don't hate the hire.

we'll see how it goes....i would encourage you to chill. after 15 years, it's really not worth it....i will though, be focusing on how this guy and staff can succeed....not wasting time on predicting failure.

GBO.
Damn jake. Get out of my head.

No because our defense will be swiss cheese this year.

Bowling Green - W
Pitt - L
South Alabama - W
Bama - L
Florida - L
Kentucky - L
Missouri - L
Georgia - L
Ole Miss - L
SC - W
Vandy - W

Another losing streak
I realistically see 2-10. People forget our offense has been gutted by transfers. So the hope of him getting our offense to 40 ppg is not looking at what we have

To everyone in here b!tching about this hire (most of whom migrated over here from the FF for the coaching search): Take your a$$es back on over there.

At this very moment, we are a rung above Vandy in the SEC power structure, on par with SCjr and below Kentucky. Elements of our fanbase are toxicity personified. I would describe our administration as a sh!tshow, but that would be an insult to sh!tshows. And we are about to have the NCAA as houseguests for a couple years.

Our new AD (universally praised upon being hired...including the citation of Heupel as one of his "great" hires), hit the road with a briefcase full of blank checks and made some big guns say "no". And they said no.

What exactly do you want the man to do? Many of us (including me) have said, "If we are going to lose, at least let it be fun to watch" and this coach is more than likely to make us fun to watch. And maybe, by some stroke of overdue karma or good fortune, he will hire a DC that makes defensive studs want to put on the big orange.

Now go change your tampons and flock back to the other hystericals in the FF...the adults in here can hold down the fort.
It can be an adult decision to not settle. This is beyond bad.

We got FU Money, which we didn't spend, so we better use it for a staff if we want to have any chance.... if I see Chaney still employed, it's officially over... OVER

I don’t think that’s true
Even still... no matter the number. We can’t attract big coaches because our administration is a joke. Who holds a three month investigation on their own coach and invites the NCAA in just to save a buyout? Coaches don’t want any part of that.

Get behind this program...everyone. Stop bickering. Stop second guessing.
We have a bad ass AD...I mean one of the most impressive guys I have EVER been around. He is getting this right I promise you that.

And another thing...this stuff about whales and authority to offer this and that to two whales is BS. DW has been given a damn centurion card to hire whoever he wishes at whatever cost he sees fit....i have said it 100 times but some folks just can’t understand. Money is not and will not be an issue moving forward with this program.

We have been mad since HOW firing Pruitt went down. We knew how it was going to play out from when the investigation was announced before the Texas A&M game
