The boosters know target one because he has been a target for weeks. They don’t know other names below that. I stand by everything I said yesterday, and have said in the past. Two candidates have been notified that they are finalists. One is in a back and forth as of last night. I know the key problem is the perception that the NCAA issues are reputational issues that damage the perception of the job. I don’t know that they can fix that with money or length of contract. Barring two strikeouts, I still believe they will be in a deal today. Yesterday my friend said they’d have a coach by midday. I know DW wants to tell team before anyone else. I know every local media person has been told to sit in a corner until there is news. While they will do a national release through regular channels, the national sources have not been told who the targets are. While we could have already closed this, or may very soon, it could take a few hours to be released. I crossed a line last night, and said too much. I said some details about a friend that were beyond what I should’ve shared. I’m not going to delete or change anything from those posts. It’s my mistake. It’s on the record with everything else. We are indeed in a negotiation with our top target. I feel rock solid about that. No matter what they say about the order of events, I’m confident that they made a big offer to a candidate that we’d normally perceive as not in our reach. I think we’ll all be happy if that closes. If not, key constituents believe in DW (and therefore the other finalist) whether the fans will or not. I still believe we’re near the finish line. I’m not going to guess coach names. I don’t know, but I know enough to cause trouble.

Tl:dr story.

I always use TRM as my example because once in the FF someone, I don't remember who, called him a Negavol. It hit me then.

TRM is not a Negavol. Actually it's a stupid term, but it's not going anywhere because....well I get to that. True Negavols all have the same characteristics. They wear the term like a Generals insignia. They think it's a special club for the realistic and knowledgeable Football fan/experts. If you do not believe what they believe you are a pumper or some other stupid term. They are stubborn and like to twist your words to say something you did not say, and if your not careful, they will, at least to them and others.
A perfect example of one of these idiots is the short exchange with Slice and BV on the first page of the Henry is staying thread. Slice didn't allow it and BV went away.

I share this only so when you see someone boast about being a Negavol, maybe you'll recall this story, if you took time to read it, and see if you think I'm right.

FF is the biggest joke it's been in my 11 years. Smh and God Bless Freak and the Mods.

I agree 100 percent. I don't know about the origins of those terms, but you nailed them both correctly as stupid terms/labels. I think putting 2.0 at the end of someone's name is stupid, too. A lot of it's stupid, and yeah it'd be difficult to be a mod.

I hear ya. We’re all twitchy here, or at least I am, so like a cat dragging home unidentifiable small body parts, I’ve been posting interesting stuff from the FF over here.

I’ve been checking the AD site since 8 this morning, and I was wondering when we’d start seeing pics of a room being set up. 🍻

I've just read a few of his posts by happenstance of being in the right thread at the right time. It all seemed like a bunch of vagueries that most anyone could come up with. Is he substantial?
