Agree with this. I think its safe to say that Pruitt was not the best evaluator of talent (JG) and our new coach just might find more than a few hidden gems on our team. With proper motivation a lot of our kids on the team now will shine. Cupboard is far from bare.

I'm going to sound like an old man here but, who needs that kind of money?!? If you've got to "overpay" to lure a guy to coach your football team, he's probably not the best man for the job. If UT is going to overpay a coach, then I want them to do it for a man that really wants to be here.


*Like I said, $4 to $4.5 mil for Freeze or $2 mil for Chadwell and you're getting your money's worth. IMO

I think he evaluated talent just fine as far as Recruiting went. I had a lot of questions about some of the guys he was playing on defense who couldn’t cover the middle of the field..... but that’s neither here nor there. But yes our cupboard is fine.

Well, to sort of touch playoff level by year two I’m think an 8-9 win season with year 3 being the it could maybe happen (9-10 wins or more). I didn’t mean we should be in the playoffs by year 2.
