Things I'm happy about today

Nope. My age doesn't qualify me to queue up, yet. Others are ahead of me in priority. I am asked to continue to mask and social distance and be patient. Healthier old farts like me will get our chance, later. More at risk elderly and essential workers, first. OK. I'll wait awhile longer.

We are at 70+ here in KY, come on up and get shot up.

Thanks. Here, the county health departments are purportedly in charge - setting the rules for the local populace. Already, there are pleas across northern counties for residents to stop making multiple appointments and lying about age, residency, and other criteria to get one.

You don’t have to be a resident of BC to get one, but presumably they will try to verify age at the appointment. But then they might have just thrown the doors wide open by then.

We will still wear our masks in most of the same situations, but we’re looking forward to being able to drop masks with family. Although my son-in-law will be last in line.

Ok, he can holler in through the window.

I don't get the wait, cause I know several here who habe got it. They're giving it out at our Ingles, like making announcement on the pa system that their pharmacy is offering the vaccine. That threw me off the other day after reading and seeing on the news about wait lists.

I’m happy vaccines are here.
I’m trying to wait for the Johnson and Johnson one dose one. I hate needles and most of my coworkers (work for school system) that received there’s were sick. One was vomiting, one had fever, all said fatigued. My doctor said to get it but be warned it’ll feel like you have COVID-19 for 3 days. Ughhhh! I hate being sick and feeling ill. 🥴🥴
I’ve decided to go ahead so it’s a matter of When.

Isn’t the J&J vaccine the first to arrive one that’s built on the traditional vaccine model? That seems like a great decision for younger people. Let’s hope they get the production cranked up!

This is why I’m waiting to get vaccinated, letting them work out the bugs and see how many people get sick and die from it. Unless of course my oncologist makes me get one.

Oh I’m not sure! I hope so! I just can’t with two doses. I know that if I get the first one and get sick I’m more than likely not gonna go back for the second dose. 😩😑

I had to go look it up. My daughter mentioned it (she’s a physician), and said that many of her younger patients were considering it.

Pfizer and Moderna are mRNA vaccines. J&J and AstraZeneca are adenovirus vaccines.
