Agree. This needs to be a Saban type move. Go pester the top guy until he says yes. Do whatever it takes and get a grandslam. That's the only move. You go get an up and comer or former assistant and you're making the same mistake you've been making and that qualifies for the definition of insanity. It's nonsensical at this point.

At this point I’m leaning BOB as my preferred potential hire (no realistic chance on Kiffin, Freeze, or Stoops). He seems to check all the boxes and was a much better pro coach than other successful college - pro - college guys (Saban, Spurrier, Petrino). That doesn’t mean he will be better than those guys, but winning in the NFL is hard and he did it at a high level for years.

Plus he pulled off a miracle to keep PSU from being terrible.

And, If he ends up at Alabama as OC, he will be the hottest of hot candidates this time next year.

Without having an AD it’s hard to say for sure, but right now I believe it’s Steele or Chadwell and if Steele is allowed to hire 3 coaches this weekend then that tells you all you need to know

and if that’s the case why would we want to hire another Bama guy? Did we not just learn a hard lesson or have we all been asleep the past 3-4 years?

God I can’t wait much longer, need Chadwell to be finalized so I can exhale. Fulmer said a lot of dumb crap Monday but his 10 year comment will be prophetic if we make Jamey Chadwell our head coach. It may not lead to immediate success but his offensive ability partnered with a veteran SEC defensive staff would have us proud of our team and results for years to come!

Please make it happen Donde and Boosters!!

Luckily the East is not very good and I think he can turn it around pretty quick. USC and Vandy are garbage. We get three easy OOC games. There is five wins. Still out talent Mizzou and we usually own Kentucky. I think Chadwell and Steele could have us competing in year two. And even win 5-6 year one.

I've been screaming to pay Stoops whatever he wants. As bad as what it has gotten, I've almost convinced myself that Kiffin is the even better option. He's the only coach (that is proven) that i can see that would run full speed into this dumpster fire just because others would be saying he couldn't do it.
I have zero confidence that UT will get this right this time.
