This is something and a leader I can get behind. I wasn't the biggest CFP fan even when we was winning.

Unfortunately, the information was shared with me from a creditable source tied to the program that made me swear not to tell in order not to start a smear campaign on Blackburn. David is a fabulous guy and I knew him in college when I volunteered at the athletic department one summer. However, just like Fulmer is "resigning" I am willing to bet he was informed he is also being dismissed and it has been called a retiring because no one will really know. Believe me or not, I don't care.

LOL! You are right. Let the professionals make the decisions that they have gotten wrong since 1992. They will find someone who does not know how to be a leader and have a commanding presence to make sure everyone is accountable for their actions.

So you share “from a creditable source” that “he did something wrong” anonymously on a message board without giving the specifics. 🤔

You won't. Just like you won't see or hear anything about the conversation had with Fulmer to cause him to "retire". Maybe there was nothing and he really is ready to retire. I was sworn to not speak of David in order not to smear his name. I like David very much but he is in the right place at MTSU.

think long and hard about it, i don't care. everyone decided to harp on my decision for AD so I thought I would share my opinion on David not being the right person. Last time I checked, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I don’t understand why, if you “like someone very much,” you would have even told it - even without specifics. Why would you do that? Also, I wonder do people in this thread know who trained Ingram? LOL

Because I am not going to smear David's name and since everyone else decided to voice their opinion of my choice I expressed mine. I don't have to give you specifics and again was told in private and not to disclose.

He has one qualification that I really admire.
He has to hate bama with a deep passion.
Paul Jr and the Bear's boys cut the UAB program, They wanted no competition for the fan's dollars in the state. They are stuck with War Eagle but everyone has a little brother they are ashamed of.
The ability to bring back a program from the dead is exactly what we need.
