I'm almost 100% sure Kevin Steele will be the interim coach in all of 2021 and a new coach will be hired after next season.

All I see from Campbell is the best coach in the history of Iowa State...but the 4 best coach in the Big 12 on any given season.

I'm not sure if that's a good strategy. What realistic candidate will be available next season that's not available right now? Also, our program isn't going to look any more attractive next year than it does now, so the coaches who tell us no now is going to tell us no after the 2021 season. Plus right now we aren't competing with any other schools with a coaching vacancy. However you can damn sure bet we will be after the 2021 season. Also, the 2022 in-state class is really strong! We need a permanent solution in place sooner rather than later to try and recruit those players. I just don't see the advantage of waiting.

His team also lost to Sun Belt W Champion Louisiana, team coached by Cookeville born Billy Napier. UT would more than likely be much better with Napier or Chadwell, TN born!!!

Taking a no-name school and bringing it to the point of competing in the Big 12 Championship is extremely impressive. This is the kind of coach we need at Tennessee: a coach who can turn around a program in the gutter.

Yes we know Hugh Freeze will not be hired at Tennessee we know that. I honestly don't think he would have to pay the million dollars tho. If you look at the schedule and you look at Hugh Freeze's work on the field there if he were to continue to do what he had always done that is a almost guaranteed bet for Mr. Travis based how Hugh Freeze has done in the past.

Why is it all the bad stuff you never think would happen... happens...but none of the crazy good stuff. Like hiring an exciting new top coach that you wouldn't think they'd hire. Like Freeze. No no no...can't do that...but we'll have big time ncaa violations....but we are too good to hire anyone who's made a mistake. Pffft.

We'll considering the last decade or so and the latest fiasco, with questions remaining, UT will be hard pressed to be very attractive to high profile coaching candidates. They're "damaged goods". Hoping for the best, I don't see much past an interim, patchwork staff. 2021 could be a new low.

We knew a long time that JP was gone, that why Steel came here to take over, i think he gets the 21 season to show what he can do, no so called big name coach is coming here right now, he will be the bridge to the next Coach, maybe we will just get a 1 year Bowl ban, we couldn't even get a decent coach the last 2 times we had to settle for the 6 and 7th one on our list.

Now days most likely just put on the list to beg next year.
