15 to 20 years ago that's very likely the lead story.

There are many reasons why ESPN is bleeding...

The last coaching hire circus finally did me in on "hopeful optimism"..I don't see any way this nightmare turns out okay...I really don't.

I am sorry that speaking what should be an abundantly evident truth in my mind pisses everybody off to hear, but it's not like I want it to happen.

Doesn't piss me off. Just trying to be positive. You have to find your moments of positivity whenever you can get them with the way things have been this last decade. We may be ****** but I choose to hope we aren't until I see that we are. I'll be much happier these next few weeks with that philosophy. We're all in this together man.

You would think with the last circus we had without sanctions hanging over us people wouldn’t actually be optimistic that we make some great hire this time.... literally the last two times our programs had to hire with unknown severity of NCAA penalties we hired a HC with a losing record at Louisiana Tech in football and Losing record at Missouri st in Basketball.

Yes Kiffin loves the idea of coaching at TN but he doesn’t love the idea of coaching it with what he dealt with at USC. Sure he makes the call bc he wants to know how bad is it to know how serious he should push. It’s going to be too bad for him to make the move and doesn’t even sound like Plowman and Boyd would consider him with the type of person they described wanting

It’s his biggest regret of his life.
Ask AV, and he’ll tell you the same thing.
You put Lane with a top Defense Coordinator, and there’s nobody stopping him.
Put him on stage, & have him ask for forgiveness from the fanbase...
Make the buyout 10-15 million, make the hire, and reverse the curse.

Well one their “mediocre” coaches is being talked about a lot tonight here with posters wanting him. Yea he failed there under similar circumstances

Kiffin caught the brunt of the sanctions and still won 10 games, Sark won 9 in a season there before personal issues caught up with him. Their current state has more to do with Helton; major impact of sanctions is long gone there.

Patterson's shine has worn off. Whittingham is at home and isn't coming here. Same for Fitz just as much money with less expectations. Mendenhall is 30-32 at UVA and 129-75 overall. If Marrone isn't good enough then he isn't either.

i don't think brent backed pruitt at all. he has made it clear pruitt wsnt getting it done.

he is an employee of IMG, and Vol Radio Network.

Not backed, but kept saying there was no way he would be fired which is probably what he was told. The problem was when he did not want to talk about it, and his attitude then. I'm sure he was just tired of being asked but could have handled it better.
