Yes, if AV is correct on FU money coming to the table, it is hard to predict who that would be for.
I would think:
1. Herman doesn't require FU money as he has his $15 million from Texas
2. Freeze doesn't require FU money, just wants the opportunity. But I can't see us going after him if we are going to get sanctions.
3. Kiffin would ask for FU money for his assistants, but likely not for himself.
4. Chadwell & Napier can't command FU money when they haven't demonstrated themselves at P5 schools.
5. Only one to throw FU money at is Campbell, but with no ties to the south or UT, I can't see him coming into this mess. Then you start thinking, make him say no and throw $8-10 million at him, is he worth that risk?
6. Anybody else that can command FU money?

I think absolutely Kiffin would come to Tennessee if offered the job. Kiffin / Lebby / Steele / Garner. Would be incredible. But can Tenn swallow it’s pride and do it, I have doubts. Glimmer of hope is that the Haslam’s stroke the check and say go get him.

The coach before Steele only lasted two seasons. Before that Grant Teaff won 172 games there. It wasn't an unwinnable situation.

I don’t want Steele at all but that was 20 years ago and there is no telling the challenges on that campus at the time....
